No effin' way. Away they go. I use solvents to remove glue residue.

If other logos could be as easily removed, I would do that too.
BTW. I don't wear clothing with prominent logos either. I even rip embroidered symbols from clothing. There is a special place in hell for people who make clothes where the logos can't be removed without damage.

Get rid of all stickers.

Guaranteed tp4 buys stickers off ebay that over-exaggerate his actual specs.

The last computer I got with stickers on was my first computer when I went to uni and that was 16 years ago.  Still have the case in the attic, think it has a Pentium 4 sticker on...  Before that I had a laptop which proudly sported P4 and ATI/Radeon stickers.

I've never felt the urge to stick the stickers which come with various parts on my built computers though.

Not only that, I've used so many laptops were the stickers scratch/cut/rub/annoy your hands, this applies to outside as well. The plastic around them can also fade so when they eventually come off it looks odd, and then there is how the glue can migrate making it all sticky and dirty around them.

I don't understand how people live like that, I take them off as soon as possible.

I do often remove the stickers when they start to get damaged, and most my tower do either not come with stickers or have some real old ones and not the same specs inside most likely, and on laptops, well all are old so not stickers

The case?  It's a metal box with some holes in, hard for it not to work :))

The laptop died of power socket failure, was a one piece motherboard.  The CPU had a pin removed and ran 33% faster in a lovely orange desktop board for a while, it never died and probably still works but way too slow to use.

Wait, at first I thought it was just random stickers people put on laptops, but I realize it could also be the factory stickers. I always leave stuff on electronics unless I have to take it off. I still have the plastic wrapping around the bezel on my living room TV.

How can you deprive yourself of the satisfaction of pealing the plastic wrapping off? I always have that peeled off the second the TV comes out of the box.

I never peeled mine either, the thought doesn't occur to me. I did peel the TCL one because the metal casing was the heatsink for the led drivers underneath.

My dad does this all the time. Used to drive me nuts as a kid, but as I grew older I realized I'd rather have them on as I hate dust on electronics, as well as scuffing on glossy surfaces.

But this is like leaving the plastic on furniture, sure it protects it, but you bought nice furniture to enjoy and then never get to actually enjoy it.

You know the Nissan hood ornament they replaced the old one with years ago? The one that looks like it has blue electronic sticky film over it? I always get the urge to peel the blue off every time I see a Nissan pass by  :'(

But the plastic wrapping is out of the way! It's only around the bezel, and we notice it only when we turn the TV (it's on the wall mount).

But I'm still crazy. When I get a new phone I leave the factory protector on the screen until the screen protector comes in. And yes, even if the factory protector has a large decal on it.

Leaving on scratched, lilting/peeling, tattered plastic film looks better than an immaculate clean plastic or metal surface? So you're like on of those grannies that leaves an old cloudy yellowed and stained plastic couch cover on their couch for 25 years because you don't want the fabric to get dirty? It looks MUCH worse.

Also wtf are you doing to your electronics? I have quite literally NEVER in my life scratched a screen bezel or whatever, mainly because I never ****ing touch the bezel or fling throwing knives at my screen. How is it even getting scratched up in the first place, you maniac?

I'm not overall opposed to plastic covers. I leave mine on because it would take effort to remove it. and I can't see it in the dark.

However, the process whereby this would Bother someone,  possibly Absent REAL LIFE CHALLENGES,  human attention and focus is diverted towards inconsequential avenues of optimization.

In contrast,  in a forest, there's an apple on the tree, a bird pooped on the apple,  there's no stream nearby.   If you don't eat it now, another monkey WILL EAT IT.   What do you do..   THAT is how we loosely define consequence.
