Title kinda says it all.  I really want to get greens for work, but I'm sure the noise would be too much.  I have a brown at home, and while I like it, it's just too light for me.  So, I'd like to get a clear board for work.  Just a no-frills 104 key.  Any advice?

Thanks for the tips, I'll look into those.

The only one they have in stock is a Deck for $207 which seems crazy

Something like this would be perfect

or a Cherry G80-3000 with clears.  I've read that other people who get the tester prefer the clears, but clears are even harder than greens to find.  You'd think if CM put clears on the sampler, they'd have a keyboard available with them.

Well, the Deck does come with PBT key caps. It is pricey though, yes.

Your best bet is to probably just buy some MX clear switches from mechanicalkeyboards.com and find someone to mod a board for you with them.

Yeah, if I was going to do that, I'd just do that myself.

Since my work would be paying for the keyboard, I don't think I want to invest my own time and money into it.  I'm sure Rajiv has heard it before, but it'd be nice if they made a clear version of the XT.  If I wanted clears for home, I'd swap them in a heart beat, but I really do prefer the greens, and at home noise isn't an issue.

Thanks for the link.  I wasn't quite sure what the code keyboard was.  Looks good, though wish they had a cheaper version without backlighting.  $150 will be a hard sell.  It's hell having to order anything through my works 'approved' supplier list.  It's a special kind of hell to order something from an 'unapproved' supplier list.  I'm sure the company will spend 10x the price of a keyboard with all the man-hours they'll spend on approvals.
