Hi Everyone.

UPDATE: Check it out - Going to anodize and cerakote tomorrow!

The Group Buy is closed & was a success!

We just want to thank everyone who supported us! We have a lot of work to do now and have already started to produce.


Our Group Buy was started on "Mechmarket" October 9th - (https://www.reddit.com/r/mechmarket/comments/j863fd/gb_spacebars_bronzes_aluminum/ ) and will be running through to October 23rd, 2020

Production time: Should be about 3 to 4 weeks, so we will start shipping product out November 23, 2020.

Here is what is available to order:

6.25u & 7u

Centered Stems Only

Polished - Anodized Aluminum

Brushed - Anodized Aluminum

Polished - Aluminum - Full Gloss Cerakote Clear

Brushed - Aluminum - Full Gloss Cerakote Clear

Polished - Aluminum - No Coating

Brushed - Aluminum - No Coating

Polished - Bronze - Full Gloss Cerakote Clear (mandatory due to lead content in material)

Brushed - Bronze - Full Gloss Cerakote Clear (mandatory due to lead content in material)

Colors for anodizing - See Color Swatch Chart below(these are for reference only, there are some pictures on our website of spacebars with polished & brushed anodized finishes for reference also)



Packaging: The spacebars will come in a sealed plastic sleeve in a black Cigar style box.


Springs: We will be including 3 different weight springs depending on aluminum or bronze (74g, 89g, 98g & 150g) so you can test what you like.

curious about the bronze and the coating: Is the bronze alloy being used capable of patina-ing over time? Would the coating prevent that from happening?
I think it would be cool to see the spacebar turn verdigris over time.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but the coating will protect against oxidation since it is essentially a clear protective layer that prevents the air from ever touching the metal. That's on purpose because it also protects your fingers from absorbing any of the lead that is contained in the bronze. There might be ways to remove cerakote if that was your preference to get the effect you are talking about. But they won't sell it that way out of safety concerns.

So far so good - Machining is done and the parts look great. Now off to anodize and cerakote.

Got mine not too long ago and very happy with how it came out. Will you still be doing an IC for arrow keys?

We are working on copper spacebars at the moment, but yes, we will design the arrow keys and hope to run these in Round 2.
