Introduce:
JTK Classic FC(designed by Buger) is heavily inspired by the beloved Nintendo Family Computer (Famicom) in the 80s. The red, beige, and black color combo is the original colors from the Japan version from the eastern market, while the NES distributed in the west is in gray and black.
This is the first ever Cherry profile keycap set featuring tripleshot ABS latin and hiragana legends!
JTK will be introducing some "surprise mechanics" (lul EA) for this GB
Blind Box
JTK will be including a blind box (random novelty keys) per Novelty kit
@500 Base, there will be 5 blind box novelties in total, and each order will get 3
@600 Base, there will be 6 blind box novelties in total, and each order will get 3
@700 Base, there will be 7 blind box novelties in total, and each order will get 4
and so on...
first 3 variants are shown in the Novelties kit, the remaining ones will remain a mystery
Scratch Cards
Each Novelties kit will also come with a scratch card, which may or may not include random JTK keycap sets or a JTK Keyboard https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=103121.0, as shown in the IC post in the prize pool.
Fulfillment for the JTK keycap sets and Keyboard will be handled by JTK

The colors might not match (not sure if the beige is matched to L9 or a custom color), but the profile should. Keyreative blanks would be the easiest way to fill out a board.

Dude you just blew my mind with the TKC blanks. I was already in for a couple alpha kits because $10, but cheap mods to fill it out is even better.

production has just begun, current estimate is 1-2 months for production completion and then some more time for sorting and distribution

FYI it finally arrived. And it looks REAL good.
Fun fact: This GB took such a long time, when the postman handed it over to me, I needed a couple minutes just to recall the set's name.

the group buy for R2 (https://novelkeys.com/collections/keycaps/products/jtk-classic-fc-r2) is currently live. i'm tempted bc i'd like to run black alphas w red mods. unfortunately, the add-on kit for black alphas doesn't support split backspace (no 1u pipe/backslash key) and there's no numpad. can't see myself buying two base sets @ $105 each when add-on alphas are $18. if only...
and some other oddities about the kitting:
base and mono base are the same price even though mono base is not tripleshot
alphas add-on includes numpad but black alphas does not (same price for each kit)
no alternate enter or escape key for mono base (beige w black?)
no 1.5u novelties for R4
no R1 1u pipe/backslash key in either alpha kit (so no support for split bs)
space bar kits only include one 3u sb
no extra b, no F13
also, with sets like jtk griseann (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=109555) taking 18+ months, i'm thinking delivery in Q4 2022 is a bit optimistic. but i'd love to be wrong.
