GMK Orange Boi is co-designed by me and Typo.mk (https://www.instagram.com/typo.mk/). This set is inspired by orange kitties everywhere (including my own orange boi Richard). One of the goals of this set is to raise money for cats in need! If GMK Orange Boi makes it through group buy successfully, a portion of designer profits will be donated to The Odd Cat Sanctuary (http://www.theoddcatsanctuary.com/), a feline rescue organization that was started to help kittens and cats (as well as an occasional dog) with "challenges"  or that have been neglected. Obviously GMK lead times are not ideal right now but we are sticking with GMK for this set for a few reasons:

- Crispness and clarity of doubleshot legends since the colors used in this set don't have a TON of inherent contrast

- Strong desire for cherry profile

- Since we ruled out dye sub, we'd need UV printed novelties for maximum cuteness!

The estimated ship date from GMK is Q1 2023, though it's possible that Q2/Q3 2023 is more realistic.

For CannonKeys you have to order the deskmat for GBs separately since they ship far in advance of the GMK set and CK likes to not having large items taking up valuable space in their inventory storage.

It might be worth looking into if it’s cheaper for you to bundle it at Zfrontier. I THINK they combine desk mats and keycap orders so you don’t pay double shipping

Ty and I received the 3 plastic color samples from GMK last week, and we've gone ahead and officially approved them. GMK used their new color-matching tech wherein the colors are measured by GMK for accuracy to the color references before being sent out. On our end, our biggest priority was ensuring that the samples look like the renders so that everyone gets the keycaps in the colors that we essentially promised y'all!  :) We're happy with how they turned out. These are just photos I took with my iPhone in a few different light settings. IMO, the colors are slightly more saturated in person, but I wanted to share the pics unedited.

The 4th color in the set, the pastel pink used for a few small details in the novelties, is UV print only, and therefore will only start to be sampled by GMK now that we've approved the plastic colors.

In non-keycap news, deskmat samples were approved as of a few months ago and are currently in production!

At some point I will get around to taking photos of the Orange Boi samples next to a few GMK stock colors so you can see the differences/subtleties, etc.

Deskmat production has been finished for a bit, with mats shipping to vendors, and some customers have started receiving tracking info for their deskmats as well! Excited for folks to start receiving their cute orange kitty mats.

For the caps, we have received UV samples from GMK and approved the UV color. (This is the very light pink color used on the novelties.) When we selected this color, our biggest priority was selecting a shade that would provide sufficient contrast with all 3 base colors (this was surprisingly difficult to do!!), and as you can see in the sample photos below, it worked out!
