Title: Guess I havn't introduced myself...

Hey, I'm new to the forums. I think I've found a great community here!

Actually, I've heard a lot of good things about mechanical keyboards from friends etc. I've been searching around the internet for about 2-3 months now. Still looking for a good first board.  I've narrowed it down to a Leopold, CM Quickfire Rapid, or Filco (though the Filco is pretty hard to find in the US).

Welcome to Geekhack!

There have been a few recommendations recently for a CM QFR - hopefully you'll be able to get one without branding.  This keyboard seems to be one of the cheaper ones, but the quality is up there with Filco.
