How do you manage to reach your mouse/trackball without destroying your shoulder? I was so happy with my F122 but after a few months my shoulder told me to get an AT. I still use my F122 but at home where I mostly game and browse so my keyboard is not centered and let's me use my mouse with a normal position.

But nice board!

You should get one - it's like the grandfather of the Model F's.

It's actually not all that much wider than the Model M it replaced - I haven't had any issues so far.

Love the industrial look! Also it's more than 10 years older than me.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

My first computer was of similar vintage, despite being a bit younger.  But my dad keeps his computers for...well, basically forever.  :))  We still have some reeeealllly old hardware that I don't even fully understand.  :D

If you are planning on making it open up specific web pages, I would suggest a Teensy 2++. I ran out of memory with Teensy 2 after about 8 specific webpages, a numpad, 4 programs opened by shortcut and approx 17 pretty regular key functions.

re: destroying shoulders with long keyboards:

I tend to run mine with the mousepad below and to the right of the cursor and numpads.
I'm too lazy to tidy my desk for a snap, so here's an old one:

(btw, that corrosion was lacquered down, rather than painted over. And it has a bolt mod, personal (pre-soarer) converter, ad-hoc locklights, and also some of the barrels were constructed from strips cut from an M, as an experiment - one of which was unsuccessful - at least I can't get numlock stuck.)

After using this for awhile, an SSK is definitely on my list of keyboards I NEED to own one day.  :thumb:

I also need to find a BS artisan for this board.. the search goes on.  :))

Oooo~ Looking colorful~ I like!

A BS Drunken Skull would be pretty insane, but I don't think he'd make that because of the inner piece :(

+1 unfortunately, although Bro has proven that a transparent BS cap is possible.

That transparent BS BBV2 Bro posted looks amazing, I do want.

Boards:
Silver 84-key KMAC LE, 62g lubed & stickered ergo-clears, GON NerD PCB, polycarbonate plate,MX lock/Phosphorglow IBM Model M SSK 1391472/White HHKB Pro 2, Hasu controller/WKL Phantom, 50g vintage blacks, MX lock
Leeku G80-1800 (build in progress)

Or very, very, very confident
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
