Announcing KAP Legend System — new doubleshot cylindrical moulds from Keyreative
(1/1)
kapowaz:
I’ve been working closely with Keyreative for the last few months to develop a new set of doubleshot cylindrical (i.e. Cherry) profile keycap moulds. These moulds feature an entirely new set of legends I have designed, with comprehensive support for other International layouts: as well as US ANSI, ISO UK and the typical NorDe layouts, we have legends and kitting to support French (France and Belgium) and Spanish (Spain and Latin America). We also have sublegends for Hangul, Hiragana and Katakana in development (including actual support for JIS layouts!), and alternate forms for many modifier keys (icon + text, icon-only and text-only) exist for most applicable keys. The example kit diagrams below hopefully illustrate how the legends look (the colours here are just an example to illustrate potential kitting with alpha, modifier and accent keys).
We have a few sets already in early production, including a simple White on Black set, and the set below which we’re calling KAP Generation. Another set by BeesKeys called KAP Terrazzo is also in development, for which you can find the Interest Check here.
You can find more comprehensive information about the legends as well as designer resources (templates and UV sheets for Keyboard Render Kit, for example) on the Designers Resource page.
