So glad this is being done, really pisses me off when forums allow sigs taller than 100pix, there really is no need and it adds nothing to the content of the forum.

Why should I have to scroll just to get past your ****ty oversized sig?

i think its a real shame this is such an issue and bothers so many people, and how this forum can be so seemingly forgiving and accepting of things which really let it down and come down so vehemently  on something like this

Don't let a few outspoken people get you down Bunny ^__^

If you guys don't like scrolling, there's this new button called page down and its buddy page up. They work pretty good. Try em out sometime.

That's what I use to browse almost every page. PgUp/PgDn is less strenuous on the hand, imo.

i would also like to point out that on a forum so dedicated to customization it seems strange to want to remove options people have to express their individuality, i personally don't have a signature, but other people having them has never bothered me, and in some cases has saved me time and energy, and i found some of them made being a new member more accessible as there are a lot of people and characters to learn and it made some people more identifiable, i don't wanna get involved in any more of the drama just my 2 cents, sorry if i am offending anyone

Also, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume by "your", you meant large signatures in general and not me in particular. I am nothing but nice to everyone here, so I wouldn't see why you'd feel the need to post inflammatory comments about my signature, which I obviously have feelings for.

Smart, picking up on grammar/spelling errors etc not seen that before on a forum. I don't have a problem with sigs, I just don't understand why people feel the need to have massive sigs that are mostly larger than there posts... If you want to post an essay, get a blog?
You can still be creative and expressive within the forum rules. If my opinions hurt your feelings, then too bad I guess? I have pretty extensive learning difficulties which is why my general spelling and grammar is so bad, but I don't burst into tears when ever it's pointed out on a forum..

Hurt feelings? Nah. I'm all for everyone having their opinion, and you were on topic. There was just no need to be aggressive or focus on one person. So I was hoping you were speaking in generalities.

I was, as its a problem that is prevalent on many forums... another forum (I don't post on because its user base is mostly children) I browse MGSforums allows sigs of seemingly any size, so you have people posting one or two lines which is then followed by about a 300px high sig, every, time, they, post. It makes the forums look a mess adds needless scrolling and page loading (especially those with 20mb+ gif's) and it adds nothing to the content.
You have a username, an avatar and a sig. If you (or anyone else) struggles to be able to express them self's within all those places they really need to have a sit down and think about why that is.

In my own personal opinion a sig should be simply a small be an image or what ever, of no more than 100px high and be a simple way to sign off every post you make, that accompanies your avy. If you have some super cool 1337 **** you need people to know about make it a link to a blog...

I can't think of any reason how a massive pointless sig can be reasonably argued as a good thing that benefits the community or forum.

I am 26 years old, and that many pixels in a signature is fine with me (not really; there should be a limit, but I didn't think mine was all too bad). But wrong.

Again!
