With the FE being a raffle, and the FE described as "25 units never to be produced again", doesn't that imply that the SE version will have future runs beyond the initial 200?

The FE is more of a proof of concept, a thank you to our very first supporters, and generally just something very cool (or at least we think so).

But we don't plan to stop making boards after this. We've got a few more boards in the works that we plan to run in the future, and if demand is high enough, we're likely to run the 165 SE again as well.

I'm guessing this information is not gonna be released until way later but I thought I'd ask any way - is there any indication of possible form factor(s) for future releases? Love the IRON165 but would definitely wait for a TKL if that is planned to be in the works.

no, most custom GBs don't have hotswap PCBs. also a little fyi, where you're supposed to write your location in geekhack, you probably don't want to put your address there. I would change it to the country, state or city.

This is a really hard question to answer. I think if we were aware of any major changes it needed, we'd make them before this round. We're always looking to improve though, so it's possible there may be some changes in future rounds.

Are there switch LED holes at PCB?

Yep, the PCB as it's currently designed, does have support for switch LEDs.

I am very interested in this board and was considering building it with some Alps blue I have left.
Do you know where/how I could find a plate for such a build ?
Otherwise I guess I'll just go for gateron inks

Had the chance to play around with the Iron165 FE and talk with Luke for a bit.  I am extremely particular with my keyboards, and am not afraid to throw a product under the bus.  That being said, I can easily say this is one of the best keyboards I've laid my hands on.  The weight felt amazing, but at the same time not gimmicky at all.  Typing feel and sound was great.  Finish was extremely consistent, machining was perfect.  On top of that, Luke is an amazingly down to earth guy who is in the hobby for all the right reasons. 

For anyone who is having second thoughts about this keyboard, go for it and don't look back.  Best 65% of the year hands down. 

Good luck to you both, and I can't wait to see the hype grow!

• SE pricing has been finalized, and mainly due to the tariffs, the GB price has increased very slightly to $475 USD.
• We're really excited to announce each Iron165 will ship in its own custom hard carrying case! No more useless boxes!
• SE Group Buy officially goes live on October 19th at 9am EDT worldwide!!
• FE Public Raffle is taking place in two 3-minute windows on October 12th at 9am EDT and 9pm EDT.
• The serialized quantity of FE boards has been increased by one to 26, because we couldn't leave out the actual atomic number of iron. Couldn't pass up the opportunity!

There will be ~10 spots raffled to purchase an FE. You are not allowed to enter more than once for the FE. The SE will be FCFS with 100 boards for NA, 50 for EU, and 50 for Asia/Oceania. The vendors will make it so you can only add one iron to cart at a time. So you can buy more than one but you'll have to do 2 transactions.

No, and I believe the plan to only allow 1 entry per person. The 2 timeslots are meant to accommodate different time zones not multiple entries/raffles.

It will be similar to keycult raffles, 2 entry times into the same raffle. You can only enter once, and you will know if you won after both entry times have occurred.
