Went to my first IDPA match last weekend. It was fun. Sort of like paintball but w/ real guns. Moving and shooting is definitely different and more fun than shooting paper targets at the range.

As of right now I only have a 12 gauge and a .22 -  use them for hunting mostly. Miss my m4 I was issued in the army, but I'm aiming (no pun intended) to get an AR-15 soon enough.

It's about 15 yds. I think it's mostly dirt on the top layer so shouldn't be any ricochets.

Yeh... I'm just broke so I can't afford all the nice things many others on this forum can. I should really go back to school or find a job lollllllllllll.

On another note, does anyone here own a Bravo D.O.S. IWB holster? I'm thinking of buying one but can't decide if I want this or something with leather/kydex like a Crossbreed Supertuck. I'm currently using a ****ty cheap holster from Amazon it's just too thick, hard to get on, and it collapses the moment I take my gun out.

Lol, you may say this as a joke but it's the truth... I'm even worried about not having a sweat guard on a kydex holster because I've found sweat on my CZ when I took it off on a hot day... I was worried I may end up rusting the inside of gun :(

Lol, I understand carry guns get wear. I'm not the type that tries to keep carry guns all pretty. I actually like holster wear on my guns, but I don't think I'm being unreasonable when I worry about rust because then that can lead to functional issues. I look for something with a sweat guard to prevent any of this issue but I won't die without it. However, you can never be too careful.

I personally don't find my PCR to be too big. It conceals rather well but the thickest part of the gun is the CZ stock rubber grips. I'm considering changing them to the slim aluminum grips (even though the stocks feels better in my hand than my ****)... only thing holding me back is the steep $90.00 price for them. Yeah, I could go smaller and lighter but I like the weight of my gun. To me it's a good weight. Many like to "forget" that they are carrying but I prefer to be aware I'm carrying at all times. I might consider getting a M&P Shield for next summer though... the PCR prints a lil' too much with polo's and thinner shirts.

I agree that alloy or stainless is better but why do you say it's the only way to carry in FL? Just curious :D

ive seen lots of guns w/ rust from carry here in fl
i carry a seecamp
http://www.seecamp.com/
so im kinda bias towords micro guns for carry
i like to forget i have it
if i can go phone keys gun and bolt out the door it works
ive tried a glock 27, a hk compact etc..
all too big
i think today the biggest thing i would carry is a 38 snubby
just my two cents

I can clearly see the reason why everyone desires a smaller and lighter gun. If a person eventually gets too lazy to carry a gun because it's heavy and uncomfortable, obviously they need a new gun. I carry a larger and heavier gun bc my CZ eats recoil and I shoot it well. However, I will definitely look into something smaller for next summer :P

I like those Seecamps. My gun when I don't want to carry a gun was a MK9 or a P3AT. I couldn't justified a Seecamp or a NAA Guardian for how little I needed a small gun.

I'm getting this CZ Rami for concealed carry when I can find it. I went to a gun show last weekend and found one. I filled out paperwork and everything before realizing there are 2 different versions (decocker, safety). Well, I almost bought the wrong gun.

I was sooooooo close to buying that gun instead of my PCR but decided with the PCR because of it's track record and some people having feeding issues with certain ammo types with the RAMI. Beautiful and awesome gun though. They are about the same weight but you can't ignore it's advantage with the shorter and thinner grip length for conceal carry. The biggest issue I have with my PCR is the width of the grips :\

You going decocker or manual safety? You'd probably get a slightly smoother trigger with a manual safety but you also run into the situation where one can accidentally engage the safety when undesired.

I want the decocker version so I don't have to remember to take the safety off. That's also the reason I want a Sig 220 instead of a 1911. They're both about the same size & price.

True that! Take into consideration though you can just not use your safety and have a smoother SA trigger pull. Of course, you risk accidental safety engagement. I have a decocker on my PCR but just decock with one hand: thumb on the hammer, pull the trigger, and then slowly lower the hammer with your thumb while letting go of the trigger (safe, easy and faster with practice). I sometimes feel the decocker just seems to be something that's on there to ruin my SA trigger pull. Just small things that I tend to fathom.

Lol funny thing is that the M&P Shield will probably be the gun I'll pick up for my next summer conceal carry, as I mentioned several posts back. Too bad it ain't DA/SA. I guess I'll learn to adapt between this and my CZ.

I am unconvinced @ Shield. It is more like 1.5 stack. I like my Kahrs more. Then again, I never carried my Kahr when I could carry something bigger (my carry gun got larger over time). YMMV of course, since I don't care about printing (people really don't notice).

Yea I've just heard its pretty good from second hand reviews... defintely want to pick one up just to try and see its worth all the hype.
