O-rings for Spherical Keycaps?
« on: Thu, 13 June 2013, 23:40:43 »
Sup,

So i got a set of the round 4 spherical keycaps today and i wanted to install o-rings on them.  The problem is that the stems are so deep inside the keys that they never actually hit the o-rings that i installed. Does anyone know of any really thick soft o-rings. i usually use 50a.

the caps are dope as **** though. they arent that loud either. probably because the caps are so thick.

first world problems...

I've heard this is a problem with SP caps in general, since they don't have the cross bracers. I don't remember if a good solution was ever found.

Tricheboards, check my signature. I have a review on o-rings and soft landing pads. Maybe if you stack a soft landing pad and an o-ring?

what about some kind of dampener that lies on the plate? that is the only way i can think these SPH caps are going to not bottom out.  they are quieter than most caps bottoming out since they are so thick i just want to use them at work...
