I want one silver and one red, should I fill the form in twice?

I submitted once and added a note about getting two.

Let me know what is easier.

Thanks!

Haven't decided yet to include extra PCB or plates. Will know in Dec or so. If there are, I'll just invoice again just for them.

Does this set need anything besides switches, stabilizers, and keycaps? (Does it need a microcontroller/Teensy?)

This does not include custom LEDs if you want to have some for the switches. The LEDs included are the ones on the surroundings for the effect but not ones that will illuminate under your key caps.

By illuminating under the keycaps, do you mean each individual keycap, or are the 17 LEDs just for the sides? I just want this underglow effect:

It comes with these 17 SMD LEDs soldered onto the PCB

The rest are the ones you need to install through each switch and then soldered onto the PCB.

Yeah, it will have the under glow effect with just those leds.

Oh I see. I want a stronger underglow between all the keys like the image I linked. So I need to get an LED for each switch? And do the switch LEDs support RGB?

MX Switches do not technically support controllable RGB LEDs. You'll have to either pick a colour, or swap them out if you install SIP sockets inside the switch.

Thanks for all the help guys. One more question. How can I make sure the underglow is nice and bright like in the picture I linked instead of something like the image below. Does it have something to do with transparent switch housings?

the picture is a picture.  it looks like that because of the camera settings.

transparent housings should help, but will it look as nice as the pic?  i wouldn't think so.

In addition to overexposing camera shots, two aspects of the Duck boards will make LED glow look better.
1. LED placement at the front of each switch (Ducky LED are at the back of the switch so pretty much blocked)
2. Stainless steel plate reflects the light (Ducky uses a black plate which does not reflect light well at all)

The purpose of the Ducky and other mainstream makers LEDs are to illuminate the legends on the keys, where on the korean customs, the LEDs' intended purpose is to create awesome lighting effects!

Stabilizers? If they could work with the AT101W or AEK II boards that'd be great. I prefer the AT101W. But both boards are relatively easy to source. OR, we look into the new Matias Alps stabilizers and use those.

Layout? As close the Epsilon as possible.

AEK II has a 6,5 spacebar so no way it can match with Octagon layouts.
AT101W has the standard Filco layout, so it's 1,25-1,25-1,25-6,25-1-1-1-1-1-1 or 1,25-1-1,25-6,25-1,25-1-1-1-1-1 (i vote for the latter)

@Elton is there any chance that we could have a hard anodized option of any color even if we get charged extra? Just curious since I would really love that option especially because of the added durability and resistance to damage.  :thumb:
