Elton sorry to be repetitive but what's the deadline for those 5 extras? Also do you invoice us immediately?

Shipping to Italy has been a problem since they need to declare full value on the item for tax purpose.  Not sure why it's only for Italy, so you'd have to pay VAT..

sorry I don't get it. I have to pay import tax, like in any other EU country. I pay VAT on any value you declare, being a one of the kind product there's not way for them to verify the value you put it on.

I also got a duck mini, last year and everything went smooth.

Same here, just declare any (small) reasonable amount when sending. When I received Duck Eagle, as the package had no price I got a call from the tax authorities (in Switzerland) asking me what the value of the goods was. I just told them 50 USD as a keyboard might cost and payed tax on that. Should work fine as long as you write something.

Hey Elton, is it too late for me to change the case colour? I just joined the GB like a few days ago. I might wanna choose the black case as it looks really good with Dolch keyset, though I have to think about it first.

Does the octagon use only plate mounted switches or will PCB mounted ones work as well? A little confused about that.

Duck's PCBs support PCB mount switches, so either switch type will be fine.

Exactly. Btw you can always look at the PCB and count the numbers of holes for each switch. On most kustom boards there're 5 holes which means you can use plate mounted switches to build your keyboards with plate, or choose PCB mounted ones just leave out the plate. But for those boards with only 3 holes for each switch, Plate mounted switche is the only choice. As you would guess, the extra 2 holes is designed to improve stability of non-plate keyboards.

What's your guys take on the best way to deal with the rightmost column of keys? The profiles are almost always going to be off if you use any sculptured profile. I just tried my GMK Dolch on my b.mini and the inconsistent height change annoyed me..

My 75% at work has the correct row key from a numpad.
At home, I use arrow keys.

I prefer the arrow keys as they at least imply what the key does :)

Great idea. I didn't even think about the keycaps for the outermost right part of the keyboard. Lately I've been aquiring the stuff I will need to build the keyboard completely. Keycaps, stabilizers and what not. Price comparing/looking around to get the best deal on clear MX switches which I plan to use for this board. If anybody can help point out to me where is the best place to get mx clear switchces I would greatly and fully appreciate it. Thanks.

thought i had this figured out, but now i'm confused. what are the optimal profiles for the arrow cluster and the 4 rightmost nav keys? is it all R4 like in tjweir's photos, or is it

R1
R2
R3
R4

and

       R3
R4   R4    R4

?

It's a balance of profile and legend. I value a legend that describes to function more than uniform profile.

You may value profile more.

fair enough, but if you use the keys often enough it becomes muscle memory, and by that point i'd much rather have it in the right profile than in the correct legend

Totally valid.  I have the (almost) matching profile at work, and the arrows at home.  I don't notice anything different, but it's been a few years now. :)

Both of the boards I am replacing use Aikon controllers.
