this actually sounds like great news. just need someone to pick it back up with GMK? If Yanbo is still on board, i dont see what the hold up is...

Well MD is booked on keyboard stuff till the end of the year I'd imagine. Carbon's still running for another 20 days, then Nautilus is coming round, then Laser is some time after that, then Oblivion SA after that... probably a bunch of sets we aren't aware of as of yet as well being picked up so I'd imagine that's why Massdrop can't make room for this till later as Intelli said.

you're right - i read that wrong. so either someone has to take on payments and shipping, or we find a vendor that has capacity to do it?
the good news is GMK is keyed up, ready to go. just need to get the set into the production lineup.

Keyclack or Originative? If not, maybe an old school buy is best. Old school meaning do it yourself :))

P.S. can we get those key layouts/renders? Would be nice to see if its looking good or nah.

Well here's what happened. Andy and I got the set all finalized with GMK and updated renders, then MD was like, "yeah btw we might not be able to fit it in this year after all." And haven't heard a peep from them since.

So....

Need a plan B 😒

I am not opposed to letting someone else take over. I haven't been doing anything with keebs lately.

what about andy? is he cool with that too?

I definitely have a better chance at grabbing this set than getting my hands on a SNES Classic unit

I'm much more interested in this set now that have had time since the first attempted MD listing to actually try out (and find out I really enjoy) typing on GMK caps.

I'm new to GH (more active on Reddit), but not online marketplaces and mass shipping (I've run a few home businesses that shipped internationally). If everything is already set up on GMKs side with colors/options/etc. and the community just needs someone as a point of contact for GMKs QA and eventual freight shipment, I'll step in. I was planning on opening my own keeb shop in the next coming months, but if I need to accelerate my website opening to help facilitate this GB, I can make that happen. I actually still regularly play my SNES (A Link to the Past is my favorite game of all time), so helping get this kit made would be awesome.

According to canadapost.ca a small packet international would be 12$.

If you get the chance to run this pls atleast provide proper shipping and don't make half of us use proxys.

Is it possible to make the dark grey mod kit 'better'?
adding
-ISO enter
-1. 25u and 1. 75u shift
-1x r4 blank

would allow ISOs to use it as well

Hey guys. I'm sorry for being incommunicado, busy with other projects. I have gotten PMs from a few different folks who want to step in, but I don't know any of them. Which vendor would yall like to run this?

This is contingent upon Massdrop letting it happen. I honestly have no idea from a legal standpoint who owns the rights to what. And I don't want to burn bridges or get into some kind of dispute.
Please consider carefully before you decide to comment, for Jesus.

Hey! Could I ask why you would prefer it to ship from lets say, canada to you? With tax and VAT etc, wouldn't it be better if you could purchase it from within the EU to save all the headache of importation? Just wondering :D

TBH I think it should be run by whoever can get enough exposure/buyers to make sure this doesn't fail a second time, as that'd be the end of the road for ol' GMK SNES.

Whichever vendor picks this up, I'm in (as long as US shipping is available and reasonable)

Importation isn't much of an issue, but going trough a proxy seems way to much of hassle.

Depending on price (and type) of items you receive, you might even end up paying only VAT so no additional tax on top, and VAT is taxed on everything (even when bought in Germany).

So importation fee wise it might be as cheap as buying local.

Even if shipping cost from Canada is higher (which it should not) it doesn't justify the pain of having to use a proxy.

Not offering international shipping is just laziness of resellers in most cases imo

I mean, not really, do they?  When it is in stock, yes, they are pricey.  But group buys usually run the same as everyone else.  $130 to $150 based on sets sold, i would presume.

Agreed, I jumped on Sherry's Miami Nights Group Buy, and it was $135. Very reasonable group buy prices.

I would disagree. I just ran a 153 piece set with Sherryton and the GB was for $125.
