It's because leeku said we need hundreds or thousand for pink and cyan it's still imposible.
and according to vote result black is highest choice sorry.

Pink would have been awesome! =O

It's probably best to go with a neutral color tho.

While I would love pink, there would probably be just as many people that don't.
Black seems like a solid choice,
especially since it got the most votes. XD

I was really rooting for the white PCB. I think it would have looked slick with a brass plate.

Yes to chamfered edges! Been a huge fan of those since I saw the Fjell. Also interesting how you said you wanted that case to support all those layouts unless I'm understanding it wrong. Maybe screw-on blockers?

I would personally be fine without diffusers. Sometimes diffusers makes the case look less premium imo. But hey, to each their own, so I won't judge or demand no diffusers.

You may actually be making the right design decision here. Sandwich design may not be as firm as a solid block of aluminum.
There are millions of ways to let the underglow light out, such as Duck Octagon's diffuser blocks on both sides. Such diffusers can be added to all sides as well.

Please make a simple design, e.g. FJELL case, Hammer case, Duck mini case.
So far your design is going the direction of simple and elegant. I like it!  :thumb:

Please keep us posted.

Can't wait for the case to go along with this. I personally vote to keep some type of diffuser to make the underglow useful, but ether way I am looking forward to whatever you design!

-------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE----------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm already submitted order to leeku, and here's some good news and bad news:

Good news is production will take 2 month maksimum but it will be sooner than that.

Bad news leeku said he's not sure if vendor can do 5 type of plate he though it can be universal only but he will ask again to make sure. This problem is my bad because i thought i can order many type plate as leeku said to me before no MOQ for plate so i make it 5 option without ask him before. So let me know what do you think if can be universal plate only? Sorry for this problem before.

Hmm, I would certainly prefer to have the individual plates for different layouts, but I don't think a universal plate would hurt me much. On the other hand, faster production is great news!

I agree with Dystopia, if the option is available I'd prefer a specific layout plate over a universal but it's not that big of an issue if not.

I'm ok with universal plate as long as the brass version is sturdy enough.

Individual layouts would be much preferred tbh, but universal wouldn't be a dealbrealer.

In case plates get changed to universal, would we get a chance to modify our order again tho?
I'm asking because I ordered additional plates to have options, but a single universal per pcb would cover these.

+ if plate changes to universal, can we pull out of the GB?

 :(

(To be clear I'm still super interested if the plate is nonuniversal, it's much cleaner)

Luckily I got more then one pcb already
Will there be an moq for the cases tho?

If the gb is for cases only, orders will be limited to those who already have the pcb.

If you offer complete sets aswell tho, the gb will most likely attract more people.

Im guessing it's difficult because then new pcb order would need to reach moq again aswell, but it would help out the case in term of moq...

This is definitely true. Especially if you don't get the case GB going pretty soon. People bought the pcb with the assumption we would need to get a case on our own so a lot of people are going to do that and only a portion of them will buy the custom Yas62 case then. To maximize case sales people are going to have to get them within a reasonable time frame after the PCB and plates arrive.

Actually moq for PCB for round 2 is lowest as leeku said becuase vendor has get design PCB before.
And my plan is run case for v1 will be limited like 30pcs or less and run in the middle of PCB production, so for everyone who buy YAS62 PCB they no need too much time for PCB and case come to their home. Maybe i will run GB for complete set for round 2 but i'm not sure it will run soon after R1 end.

----And Good News----
Leeku said we still can use specific plate type because i make design fo that so he just need to find vendor to do that and will give me some update for moq and invoice soon.

If you are still considering the design of the case, I just came across this and maybe something like it would be interesting: http://duck0113.tistory.com/141

Seeing this case for the first time myself, but it seems like that style with the smaller diffuser parts might be a good compromise between people looking for a more "premium" case and people who still want the diffuser (it also looks a bit like your first render). It looks like it might be expensive though.

Anyway, thanks for your hard work on all of this

I'll throw my hat in the ring and say I also like the idea of a premium case with a diffuser sandwiched in. I'd be down with a fatter diffuser though. I don't think you have to compromise between having a premium feel and a diffuser. There's definitely some kind of middle ground where a diffuser can still be tasteful imo.
