Sooo, what will be the better option with dark blue UK78: complicated white alps with DSA Lightcycle or Zealios 78 with GMK Lazer?

Lazer.  This blue case screams for blue themed caps, and cherry profile > dsa.

Will the PCB support the Panda/Outemu hot swap sockets?

Laser. Has to be.

Personally going to strip mine and re-powder coat it tho for a special project.

Will the PCB support the Panda/Outemu hot swap sockets?

If they are like hotlites then the majority of the position should work but the Modifier row won't

Will the PCB support the Panda/Outemu hot swap sockets?

Is there a difference in these hot swap sockets and the hotlites that can be purchased separately?

Edit seems that they work roughly the same but are smaller which could be advantageous based on what rozakiin said on modifier row.

I am leaning towards getting some and modding them with a tactile switch.

Yea, I’ll pick up some purple Outemu’s as testers for Clear stem swapped Panda’s. Don’t want to sink all the moola if they won’t work.

I read a bit more last night and they don't work like true hotlites in that other switch housing will not work with them. There were a few people on Reddit saying that panda housing zelio stems were amazing but panda housings aren't made for RGB 😥.

Are the purps made for RGB?

Thanks for posting the dimensions!

I'm doing an ALPS board and thus probably using Granite even though I don't love typing on DSA. (DSA + ALPS tactile > Cherry + MX tactile though.)

Wondering if that marble royal glam wrest in TKL size will look stupid being about 3cm too narrow. What do you guys think? White marble + silver "fjell" case + granite sounds nice. But half an inch on each side sounds pretty uggo =/

Yup. Switchtop just started carrying the clear versions. Look like Zealios.

Is there any more info on halos? I tried getting asking them if they were going to sell them individually and they said no plans until after the kickstarter

Do you have info on when it will be on MD? I'm deciding between Halo, Zealios and new Outemu.

I don't think anyone knows exactly when and where the Halo switches will be available individually. Aside from them saying they will be at some point.  Early reviews say they're different, but not quite what was expected so I think we'll really just need to try em for ourselves..

Another Small Update:

Cases have been milled and are going on to anodising and sandblasting, manufacturer sent through a photo showing the sample case to show how the colour matching is and the logo engraving. The colour for the sample is Pantone 5265C and came out slightly too dark so the colours will be made lighter to get closer to the intended colour.

Hi everyone,

I have just added UK78 support to the QMK Repo

If you need the Caps Lock LED to work on your UK78 then you will need to use this build as the online QMK tool http://kbfirmware.com/ configures the LED incorrectly otherwise here is the json for the online tool.

Awesome! Is adding a baseline Winkeyless (7u spacebar and 1.5u mods) layout a big chore? I presume the uk78.h file needs another structure to create the proper matrix for the keybindings?
Current:
    Ducky DK9008P [MX Blues] | WASD V2 TKL [MX Blues] | r63 (Satan 60% DIY) [Gateron Browns] | BananaSplit 60% [Gateron Greens] | UK78 [67g Zealios] | Infinity ErgoDox [MX Clears] | Pearl 40% [78g Zealios] | G81-3000
Coming up:
DZ60/SKB60-WKL [100g MX Silent Blacks] | G81-3000 [Box Navies] Handwire
IC/GB:
GMK Strogg | G81/80-3000 MX metal plate

7u and 1.5u mods can be created from the file currently, the structure is made to have the max number of keys so all layouts can be made without editing the matrix.

Rozakiin you are the best.

I can't figure out what switches I want to get for the boards I ordered.  I am itching to get some zandas but then the housing will be bad for the LEDs :'(

Kbdfans is running a gb for milky gat switches that look like fun too.  Decisions decisions.

I can’t quite tell, is there enough room between the PCB and the bottom for screw in stabs? I looks like it, but ya know... measure twice and all.

Edit: I’m guessing we’ll need to use washer or tape on the PCB for the screws as well.

I can’t quite tell, is there enough room between the PCB and the bottom for screw in stabs? I looks like it, but ya know... measure twice and all.

Edit: I’m guessing we’ll need to use washer or tape on the PCB for the screws as well.

Only one maybe two stab positions will need tape, I have my test pcb with screw in stabs without issues.
