GB has ended, and all order shipped.
We got some cases left.
Please check it here : https://shopkey.doyustudio.com/001kba8fc-s

Thanks for geekhack user TheEerieCold https://geekhack.org/index.php?action=profile;u=63616.
He tested several pcbs/keyboards.
I've updated report from him!

PCBs fit for this case without any modify:
Filco TKL
CM MasterKeys (From TheEerieCold)
QFR Plate + Phantom (From TheEerieCold)
KBParadise V80 (From TheEerieCold)
MK Disco (From TheEerieCold)
PCBs fit for this case, but have to modify:
Phantom (Need to add extra support inside, ie. paper, rubber...etc)
Quickfire Rapid (Only 1 mounting hole fit, but bent plate make the other screws work great, https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=90406.msg2499317#msg2499317)
LFK87 with custom SS plate (QFR copy)(bottom screw spacers required, by TheEerieCold)
Deck Francium (need washers for top screws, by TheEerieCold)
Phantom with mechanicalkeyboards.com plate (needs bottom screw spacers, by TheEerieCold)

PCBs does not fit at all
Code, no upper screw holes (From TheEerieCold)
CoolerMaster QFRi (From TheEerieCold)
CM Nova Touch (From TheEerieCold)

Hi,
This is group buy for anodized aluminum case & separable cable for Filco TKL keyboards
Perfect one piece main body without cutting lines on the side.
And make cable become separable.

Price is $100 per set.
But boxing might not be decent one.
Just plain white or black box.

IC link : https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=89893

Time Line :
7/4 GB start
7/23 GB ends
(I'm in Paris now, my colleague help me to check the sample. But I want wo confirm the sample by myself before GB ends)
8/31 Estimate shipping date

This case is design for Filco TKL ANSI layout keyboard.
We're not sure if it fits other TKL keyboard/PCB.
If there's any body in Taiwan want to test your keyboard/PCB.
Please send us message here : www.facebook.com/douystudio

Besides the question about the angle being the same as the stock Filco case.
Can we see some pictures of the inside of the case?

Hi,
I'm not really sure what you mean.
Do you mean will the design is exact the same as final product?

Sad.
I can not find reason why the extension's response time takes so long.
It should be just a simple sql query...

Me too. Problem is, I'm pretty sure it could be bypassed (i.e. you end up just paying the $100) thus creating problems for the organizer.

Does this case fit people who have frosty flakes and Pegasus hoof replacement controllers?  Is there clearances for Phantom builds using teensy controllers?

I think after accept auth.
It will bring you to review order.
And if you didn't select shipping method before.
System will ask you to chose.
After chose shipping method and accept again, paypal will get update.
You can try it and tell me about result @@

Due to paypal policy.
I can not try it with any card issue Taiwan.
(pp Taiwan account can not transfer any money to another pp account in Taiwan)

Hi,
All cases are awaiting for anodizing.
But I haven't get final sample and take more pics myself.
It's hard to ask for manufacturer to take better quality photos.
I'm not sure what's going on with the carrier now.
Any way, we should get the case this week.

And although in the interesting check, get almost 100 feedbacks, until now, permit to order quantity is way far from MoQ.
So I think we have to extend the GB time for 1 week to see if we can achieve MoQ.
And show more photos after we get final sample.
Hope that can solve many guys question.
Although we still won't have idea if it will fit other PCBs cause we don't own so many different keyboards.
If not, we'll refund those who've already paid and sell those cases for retail only :)

It doesn't, after you log in via Paypal, it kicks you back into the basket and asks you to pick a shipping method.

Anyway, I managed to place an order, it took bloody ages for the website to load, but I left it sitting a few minutes and everything went through eventually! Now we play the waiting game. Thanks Sennin for hosting this group buy

Hope our business goes better and I can afford a full time engineer to manage and make custom mods for the site haha= =
Instead of use a expensive but slow ****.
I know only things about mobile apps, never develop any website before :'(
So not able to optimize it myself.
It takes damn long to load, I can't bear that as you do.
And have no idea why it takes so long to make a simple query.

Hopefully we get closer to MOQ by the time GB close, because it's really a great price for the case.

In the case that we don't meet MOQ, how much will it cost later on if you sell them for retail price?

I think will be around $130~150.
Depends on the cost for new box.

Yeah, I'm wondering how that'll work since a stock Filco plate has those bends, and phantom plates doesn't.

It's made by the same guy who makes the VA68 PCBs: www.lfk78.com

He sold me an earlier prototype, but he's working on an IC/GB soon (as far as I know). Goes by ca178858 on reddit and GH.

Supports Alps and MX (PCB mount), RGB Underglow and in-switch LEDs (not RGB), and 2 RGB indicator lights (where the numlock/capslock normally go), and plate-mounted stabs. and he recommends pairing this mk.com plate w/ it. I think he said the next revision will have split-spacebar support.

These mk.com plates also support Alps so you're good to go, just need switches and keycaps and you can build a new TKL Alps board =)

EDIT: I asked ca178858 and he said it's alright to post some pictures of the prototype that we think should fit this case: http://imgur.com/a/x8O8w

These mk.com plates also support Alps so you're good to go, just need switches and keycaps and you can build a new TKL Alps board =)

EDIT: I asked ca178858 and he said it's alright to post some pictures of the prototype that we think should fit this case: http://imgur.com/a/x8O8w

I can chime in here, also bought a few of his PCBs in the past (and I've also got them TKL PCBs coming from him very soon! for use with this very case!)

He's a really nice chap, and knows his stuff when it comes to PCBs (likely lots of EE experience in the past). Highly recommended  :thumb:

It doesn't, after you log in via Paypal, it kicks you back into the basket and asks you to pick a shipping method.

Anyway, I managed to place an order, it took bloody ages for the website to load, but I left it sitting a few minutes and everything went through eventually! Now we play the waiting game. Thanks Sennin for hosting this group buy

Yup you're correct. Put an order in for two. Hope the GB wait time is shorter than the website loading time. Heh heh

They are indeed, very similar to GMK Royal Alpha. Anyone know where we can get these?

Hi,
All cases are awaiting for anodizing.

So when will the new official end date of the Group Buy be now,  July 22nd?

Does this case fit people who have frosty flakes and Pegasus hoof replacement controllers?  Is there clearances for Phantom builds using teensy controllers?

I don't have any 3rd controllers and Phantom  PCB, so not able to test it.
If the controller is no bigger than origin.
It should works.
But about Phantom PCB, I know nothing about that :(

Well I have all 3 and would be willing to test them for you if you send a case my way 😄

May I ask the area you're living?
I'll try send you a sample to test it :)

The loading time is horrible = =
But not yet find any way to optimize it.
I'll try update to php7 later.

That's one of the sample from dye-sub manufacturer.
We might run a group buy for other color from the same manufacturer in the future.

Hi, nice to see that the group buy is being extended; I might be interested in getting in on this. Do you have an idea how much the case will weigh?

I'd like to know too before committing, as I'd rather not lose out on conversion fees if it's still far away.
