I imagine this would been much more popular if available in TKL, very solid build and cheaper then diy build with GMK keycaps and aluminium case(well, can't use custom firmware though). If I can order this with MX green I'll buy another one. Came with (likely re-tooled) blue, very smooth. It has very complicated macro function too, hasn't tried it yet.

195522-0
Negative angle by default?
195524-1
You can make tilt more to any angle you want, can be negative angle no matter how tall you are.
195526-2
Black PCB.
195528-3
No pinging thank to thick PCB mount, people who think even leopolds are too loud shoud get this. No flexing at all.

Attached pdf is the manual for macro function.

Edit 1: Pigment swirl at I key can be only seen with strong lighting, actually very common seen in most injection molding products. Not going to exchange it as it's very very minor. Very deep scratch(shrinkage?) on num Del, nevermind.
195581-4
195583-5

Approximate cost for similar diy build:
Case €130~160 for similar quality aluminium case,
super thick PCB(partially programmable) 40~70€,
GMK stabilizer €18~20,
GMK base set inc numpad keycaps €130,
very decent stock usb cable €8~12,
multi channel bluetooth module €5~8
Custom plastic feets *8 €32~64? mass production should cost less then €4 each, never seen one my self.
Aluminium feets(non adjustable) *4 €16~24
Final cost is around €347~464 + build + shipping, that's how cheap large volume production is/expensive is custom build/rapid prototyping is

SMD jumper replacing stock controller with custom firmware any one? :p

Everything is fine, only they can not make the firmware with fixes and the program for customization. Already half a year has passed.

What fixes? Does it has bugs? Unfortunately this board and most big brands has no customisation function :(.

Edit1: I think keys can be remapped with the build in macro function, fn layer seems to work too so there's 2 layers at least. No GUI through.

Edit2: It seems macro can't map hold but only key or combo presses up to 100ms delay and it can't be set using key code(sleep, power off, volume_up sort of thing).

Soft Uniqte Control -

Should have been in April to do.

They said that initially it will be postponed to those people who pre-ordered the GMK UNIQEY C70.

After will be available for us - with q100

I also bought a keyboard, and there's a problem with changing the color of the  LEDs.

does not change (does not persist) color led of 5. It remains always white.
I change it to any other (as indicated in the  expert features), but after exiting the setting mode it is still white. Even the combination <Fn> + <F5> changes only the first 3 LEDs. does not change   LED 4.

AND regardless of whether you change each individually the 1,2,3 LED. color for all 3 LED is selected the one that you chose for the first LED.

As I understand, this problem has been known for a long time, but will long time something  not fix

Got a response from GMK:

Das Problem ist uns bekannt und wird derzeit bearbeitet.
Wir arbeiten an einem Softwaretool, mit dem die Programmierung der UNIQEY-Tastatur endlich übersichtlicher wird.

Diese wird Anfang nächsten Jahres verfügbar sein und löst viele der aktuell bestehenden Probleme.
Ich hoffe das hilft dir schon mal weiter.

Humm, sounds like they're very reluctant on fixing bugs just like many other B2B oriented business. Since C70's not available outside of massdrop yet we would be lucky to receive new software by next April.

Thinking of buying a second one. Please persuade me not to ^-^, yea that led colour setting's bugged also I can't turn off led 4 and the macro function seems almost useful. Love the thick pcb feel and sound through, that cable can be painful to replace when not being made in the future while I can make replacements by using a broken one but still inconvenient. Still waiting for my SSK and GE health care model M and two kits with zealios and matias and I've got too many keyboards already :-X.

Whilst you're enjoying it, could you take some more pictures of the additional risers and how they work? Looks intriguing!

Also I never noticed the negative angle, how are you liking that vs other boards you've tried (and their angles)?

It's the most comfortable full keyboard I've used so far, my wrist will stay more naturally then bending upwards using most keyboards. Unable to remap the key is a bit uncomfortable as I can't remap capslock to ctrl or map num 7 and 9 for pgup pgdn.

The only things that stops me from buying couple of those is location of FN key (which hopefully will be fixed with firmware update / software), and the that GMK are Nazis and don't ship to unter volk nations ;) (but that can be probably fixed with a proxy in Germany or by talking nicely to GMK reps).

They do ship to poland where do you live? The fn key's position does feel quite uncomfortable however hasu's usb2usb adaptor works very well for me using tmk. Somehow your sentence reminds me the tv show "the grand tour" where the presenter had a rally race in nuremberg :)

Actually you're right, they have expanded their reach! That means I can now order few packs of silencing clips :)
The keyboard... Well, that bloody FN position kills it for me. I require 2 programmable keys on each side of space bar. Hasu's converter doesn't help here as I doubt their FN key is sending anything over USB (like HHKB).
I was actually thinking about getting at least one for myself, and hardwiring this unfortunate key to one position to the right of it (which should be simple enough), but for heaven's sake, why do I have to do it on €320 keyboard? Not to mention I kiss the warranty goodbye the moment I open it...

I just tried, fn works perfectly fine after I swapped it with menu key. I don't think there's enough space in the case for an teensy but I don't think you should do it either unless you can get a broken one for cheap.

Edit:original fn won't work, menu will so you'll lose a key.

Do you mean you can swap FN and Menu keys in software? How do you do that exactly? And does it work after reconnecting keyboard to other PC or Mac?

Just checked again, it works but will the keyboard will freeze upon pressing the original fn key. Connects to hasu's usb converter with tmk:

https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=69169.0

I am now checking if I can make the original fn work.

They started shipping to more countries, after couple years of selling those keyboards. I give them few more years and they eventually release a software or firmware updates that allow proper programming, then I spend my money, as I really love idea behind those keyboards. Sturdy aluminium shells, PCB mounted switches, nice dampening, awesome keycaps, bluetooth (simple switching between MacBook and PC). I just don't get it why they haven't put FN key where every other maker, on Manu key. Those that do it are WASD. Ducky, Filco, IKBC, Vortex, even Unicomp in their Spacesaver M, but of course Cherry, GMK and Chinese gaming keyboards must mess it up...

I could consider buying if they added a tkl with tmk/qmk firmware.

If you're going to disassemble the keyboard, could you measure the PCB thickness and take a couple of pictures of the back of the front and back of the pcb? I had one in hand, but forgot to measure it...

Fine with me, I have plenty of keyboards to work with :) Just pisses me off a bit that I can't get THAT one :D
FYI the ones I use most recently are: Topre Realforce 104 Silenced Variable White, Unicomp Classic in Black/Dark Grey and Ducky One 2 Skyline with MX Blues. Mostly Topre though, although right now, typing this on Ducky, which may stay for a while since I'm fastest on MX Blues and they're very good with my fingers which became pretty week over the years - HHKB tires me, Unicomp sometimes is fine, but most of the time hurts too... Variable Topre and light MX switches are the only ones I can comfortably use nowadays.
