[GB] hbcp - QC/shipping
« on: Thu, 05 September 2019, 13:32:42 »
Alps users - look at this update:
https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=102320.msg2845344#msg2845344

Original IC: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=96158.450

More pics below!

Date: Sunday September 8 at 1PM EST
Check your timezone here: https://everytimezone.com/s/68e2f5a3

Please make an account on my site before the GB if possible: https://hineybush.com/account/register

Form link: https://forms.gle/EPpQ7Yk8GtMxkY6e9

Pricing:

Aluminum: $500

Ano colors: Silver, Black, Pink (Pantone 1895u) - Same pink as X60

All aluminum kits include by default 1x alu top and bottom, 1x brass weight, 1x brass MX plate, 1x PCB, and all associated hardware including o-rings and 6x bumpons.

Poly no-weight bottom: $475
See below for render and IRL pic of the no-weight bottom!
Poly weighted bottom: $500

PC coating colors: Clear, atomic purple

All PC kits include by default 1x brass MX plate and PCB and all associated hardware including o-rings and 6x bumpons. The no-weight bottom will have the inverted "hbcp" engraving, the weighted bottom includes a brass weight.

Other stuff regarding the cases:
No external engraving etc on the weights - just "hbcp" on the inside of the weight.
No indicator markings, just the three LED holes.
Light pipes will be included and installed by me - I may have to superglue them in on some boards since they sit a little loose inside. This won't affect look or anything, I've tested it.

PCB Specs:

Hybrid MX/Alps footprints.
Notable Alps footprint/cap exclusions: No 1.5u stepped capslock (couldn't fit it with MX/Alps hybrid footprints). ANSI enter only.

24x RGB LEDs for underglow.
Powered by QMK firmware.
USB Type C port.
1.2mm thickness ONLY offered with this GB.

Daughterboard for the indicator LEDs, attached via cable.
The indicator daughter has 3x RGB LEDs, program the color in QMK (not in config yet, working on it)

Extra PCB and plates:

Extra PCBs: $38

Plate options:
MX Brass (universal) - Extras $35
MX FR4 Full and Half (universal) - $25
ALPS Aluminum (WKL bottom row, 2u bottom key in numpad, ANSI) - $35
ALPS FR4 (WKL bottom row, 2u bottom key in numpad, ANSI) - $25
Plate files will be released after the initial buy happens.

Sale-specific Info

This will be FCFS. I will have extras after I ship the GB orders. Likely some A stock and B stock.

Estimated lead time until I start shipping: ~4 months from mid-September. Ideally sooner, but I don't want to get myself into a pickle.

ALUMINUM UNITS: 65 avail
PC UNITS: 35 avail

The sale will happen via Google Form with invoices coming from my site via Shopify.

Domestic (USA) shipping: USPS Priority mail, ~$12-40 depending on location (auto-calculated)

International shipping: DHL Express
Canada/Mexico: $40
Europe, Asia, S. America, Africa: $60
Oceania: $70

Please read through the FAQ on my site as I will be adding some case/kit-specific wordage before the buy starts. Essentially as a CYA to avoid people *****ing about slight color variances etc. The goal will be to match tops/bottoms as perfectly as possible, but of course nothing will ever be perfect so keep that in mind.

Nope. I could maybe release files alongside the plates for such a thing though.

OMG HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE WHICH ONE TO GET.

also, for some reason that "check your time zone" links to sepetmber 3rd for me :)

So, i hate you for making such a wonderful looking board.  It looks amazing in silver.  The pink is amazing.  But guess what?  The PC looks hot as hell too.  And you know what else?  That atomic purple PC looks amazing.  Too many options that all look perfect.

Thanks, I hate it

Green.

And yes the buy is via google form, invoiced thru my site after. Easier than trying to deal with checkouts etc.

Do u have any pictures for the Lightpipe that u've tested in the poly case? Im not understand about this point... :(

The lightpipe doesn't work as well on pc as it does on alu since all of the pc is translucent, but here's a crappy pic:

The case itself is designed to help isolate the LED light between indicator spots.

Looks like the PC version would be a great candidate for a sticker in that spot. That should help isolate all the extra light coming through.

Yeah I can send out a blank PNG or DXF or something that'd fit that area. I dont plan to supply any actual stickers myself tho.

Probs the silver, pink will be awesome tho.

No form edits allowed to deter people entering random stuff then editing correct info. If you want to edit your order after submission, please PM or email me.  Also, you can change the shipping/billing address when you are invoiced via Shopify.

Poly hit 35 entries at 1min 9sec into the buy. You can check your emails to get a good idea of if you got one or not. If you're worried about not getting one feel free to submit for alu as well, there's still like 20 slots there. If you missed poly, i'll get you for alu as long as you're within the 65
