Hopefully my CF plate will come in the mail today.

I'm actually going to use it on a much larger board I don't have a plate for , but if it does not work, I may end up re-selling it, so if any of you guys missed out on one of the 5 Carbon Fiber plates, you may have another chance.

That would be me! If it doesn't work out, I'll buy it ASAP, Jixr. I'll send you a PM! LeandreN knows how much I've been going crazy about having one, lol.

I would like to put it on my redscarf, but if the probably likely reason it won't fit how i imagine it to, then i'll have a post in the classy. ( or you can entice me with trade offers via PM )

Hi, I just finished my build today and it surely was fun but I have quite a big problem. The keyboard stopped working after sometime and pluging it out and in again, the PC did not identify it. I tried to upgrade the firmware but it said "problems downloading.." and now it stopped working at all. Did I kill something on the keyboard or is it possible to reset the firmware somehow? thanks

Not great.

I am not sure what's happening here. I would refer to the SPRiT 60% parts thread for assistance. People here are also really helpful. If you don't find anything that helps you, contact me and I can see if I can send a replacement. I also sent a mail to SPRIT, but i doubt he will answer anytime soon.

SPRiT's 60% is a FaceW so you can use this tutorial.

Thank you, I already posted there too, and tried everything written there. The Problem is my board does not get into the bootloader I guess.

Meaning it doesn't get into bootloader state by plugging the usb cable with the Q key pressed down?
If you have remapped it to somewhere else, for example to get a Dvorak layout, I guess you still need to hold the default Q key down as it's the first key in the matrix.

Yes it will not be recognized by Windows and it doesn't start up in the bootloader while pressing Q, U or P.I haven't remapped anything, I tried flashing it because it randomly disconnected and started to key chatter (After all I guess the connector has a loose connection). And I guess it disconnected while flashing and stopped working at all now...

Are there any leftovers or anyway I can get a new board for around the same price?

Had chance to unpack my order, got here in perfect condition and looks good, but no build yet due to uni similarly to others  :thumb:

Have a hammer case to house it so should be nice!

Got my plate today! The anodizing is very nice. Did not expect how tightly it holds onto switches, but it functions perfectly as a lube station as well until I figure out how I want to set up the whole board.

Later, I'm at work so it's still packaged up. The package looks only slllliiiiiiightly bent, so I'm not too worried.

about half the plates that i've ordered from people on here and keyboard websites show up bent, I hate when people mail them in unprotected bubble mailers. though i'm sure mine from leandren will be good

Though my computer pooped the bed this weekend, so i'm 99% certain i'll be re-selling my carbon fiber plate once it comes in.

about half the plates that i've ordered show up bent, pro tip to everyone. bubble envelopes are not the proper way to ship plates.

Though my computer pooped the bed this weekend, so i'm 99% certain i'll be re-selling my carbon fiber plate once it comes in.

I'll be ready. Sorry to hear about the bending. Damn, if the CF turns up bent, that must've been one hell of a rough shipment.

Anyone know for the RGB Leds for the SpritPCB are 5mm/7mm ? Common Anode or common Cathode?

This is going to be awesome. Also seems like a bunch of us got the Tex acrylic cases for this. Kinda perfect for the sprit PCB.

These PCBs do not support RGB LEDs.

I read that as: previous plates were bent and now his computer broke so he will have to sell the CF plate when it arrives, presumably for cash to fix the computer.

No sorry, i meant that quite often when i buy plates from people they show up bent, often because poor packing. ( just stuffing them in bubble mailers )

CF won't bend, it will just flex till it snaps. I don't have it in hand yet, hoping to get it today.

edited my op for clarity.

Do you guys think the plate and sprit pcb will fit in an Eagle case? I know the Duck cases tend to be fairly wonky in terms of screw placement.

Sprit PCB mounting holes are the same a Poker. Check out these couple of posts where someone asked basically the reverse: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=74953.msg1858270#msg1858270, shows the mounting positions of both. At a glance, looks like maybe a few mounts align?

Yeah, looks like 4 line up, which IMO is enough to build a steady board.
