Thank you guys.  These kind words makes me knom that i did the right thing.

I am just sad because alot of the accounts seem like people looking to flip the cap for a profit and i dont want that to happen

Seriously can you just stop talking about this bull****. Who gives a **** what they do. And I certainly, don't want to hear about you checking all of the entries again. God, who cares?

You got a win, and paid for it. You weren't eligible, CC hasn't made it a point to make a statement on the rule, so **** it, post all you want. Win 3 times and get overly emotional and cry some more. Do whatever, just stop posting overly dramatic wailing posts about how much you love clacks blahblahlablakbahljd***jl

I pray for the day when beehatch is satisfied with the geekhack community, I only wish for the best.

Hey sunshine :) good morning to you too  :-* Sorry you found my posts overly dramatic. I will try not to tire you with it anymore. However I am sorry, If i love something I will talk about it. It my given right. Please feel free to scroll through my post next time. .

Thank you guys.  These kind words makes me knom that i did the right thing.

not your money playa, why do you care?
I don't,  i spent some nice amount trading and buying.  That's okay. However i don't condone mass scripting or only coming alive for cV to flip. However i can only do my part which is be a good member.

Also i will not get into this with you,  i see you posts when this topic comes up. Really i dont mind the selling but i would rather it went to people who want it and maybe later sell it. Anyways it don't matter,  as long as clack's art comes out :)

not getting into anything. just this is a tired topic already.
Yup sorry dint mean to off as rude. I hate arguing.

im just saying dude, you aren't gonna change anything. artisans are in a bubble. so you're just wasting your time trying to point out who is buying to flip and who isn't (and again, none of your business to begin with). because when push comes to shove, 99% of the people are not going to say no to $$$ for a piece of plastic. i sure as **** wouldn't. and i couldn't care less if a few of you got butt hurt over it. you props/applause don't pay my bills.

On a lighter note I wasn't sure if I joined early enough so I never posted (except those one or two times where I forgot) but got all excited over catching the thread in time anyway. Perhaps a statement of how mind numbing work can be at times.

no idea but i kinda want to know myself and then count the total number of entries so i can calculate my probability of winning one

Just remember that every event is independent so it is simple probability 1/# of entries. Without lookin and hypothetically on average for ever entry you have i would say 5%

I forgot to account for the limit of 3 wins. The entries towards the end will have a higher probability because other entries reach the win limit. Assuming no real new influx of participants. It can get complicated

VERY ROUGH MATH BELOW

4097 - Total Number of Posts in CV II Thread
119   - Number of Posts from CC
2514 - Post # of First Event Waiting for a Winner

4097 - 2514 - 119 = 1464 Entries (ROUGHLY)

I've seen that most rng days have around 50 entries. so for someone to enter 10 times, would i be correct in saying the probability of winning one is 18.29%?

i haven't done probability in like 6 years so i could be really wrong

Funny enough the average is pretty close. There's 1464 Entries, and there's 31 CV Events yet to have a winner (I think, 2/5/16 to 1/5/16) = ~47 Entries/Event.

Yes average works nicely in a large independent sample size  :thumb:

a little more involved:

Assumption 50 entries per CV. then for each CV you have a 1 in 50 chancev
by the 3rd CV this number would be 49 since 1 person won twice and had 1 previous win.

So if you take a scenario where you would be the last winner thin your entries at the end  are worth more because the sapmle is decreasing. However this is CV and the is madness. RNG can pick you 10 days in a row  :D nobody knows

Only 14 entries. That's pretty good odds for those who got in. I don't think there have been that few entries since the RNG train started a month ago.

Was this a yet-to-be-done win? Is he finally moving with old ones?

Looks like it was edited on March 27th so I'm assuming no.

Oh, I see that now.  :'(

Just happened to realize I actually won.
Beyond stoked, first clack for me =D

still waiting on 21-pilots day correspondence :( figured clackman would be at least up to there by now, but it looks like clack's having a tough time finding the time to get to even that. good luck clackman!
