I believe your missing an R4 numpad enter, other than that looks great! :thumb:

Also I'm not sure if GMK has an R5 1u 0 Ins mold, I'd be interested to find out though.

In GMK TA and Carbon, the colors are customlized .
Intelli 78 find a original TA keycap to negotiate with GMK to fix the exact and correct color (it will be found in pantone 146 in color card)used in GMK TA production.
Tombery would mail a original SP carbon to GMK to fix  the right and precise orange used in GMK carbon production.
the question is that how you would find a tiffany green key in reality to negotiate with GMK to pick the exact color for GMK tiffany green(GMK keyboard. co) production? find the right color on pantone color card?

May be 3533C in pantone color card is tiffany green , which is you meant to do in this GB?

Hey shower_king, on top of it with questions haha :)

I will have an answer for that in the future.

Sherry & I have discussed pantones but 3533C wasn't one of them.
It's a bit too green & I'm going for a more blue color.

Hey shower_king, back with answers quicker than I thought :)

Blue: PMS 98-2012

Gray: Cool Gray 4 U

Black: CR(GMK's black)

Also for the others here, in the event where the novelties must be removed due to cost.
Would you rather have, "CODE" replace the diamond winkeys(1.25U & 1U) or this diamond replace it?

That blue looks pretty good.  Also, looks like GMK updated their colors.  Looks like the 98-2012 is roughly Pantone 3272?

I think the original diamond fit the flavor and style of the set and the new one doesn't.  I would be up for a code key.

Yeah, about the same.
A bit darker than what I'm going for.
Thanks for showing me that, the image I saw was brighter.

Gonna have to go look through pantones again ^-^

Yeah I've seen those blues vary in share a little bit depending on the image.  In another image, they looked a lot more similar for some reason.

Frankly speaking, i show no special preference for CODE or diamond. The two are both OK for me.
The diamond is more compatible with your theme of this set. i will choose diamond for this set.
i looked this blue carefully and though it is a bit darker and a less green than i expect. However, i follow your choose color because i think you know exactly which blue is more approximate to your theme and original color

Updated OP with final set mock-up.

Changes:

- Took out novelties due to cost issues.

- Added R3 Pg Up & R4 Pg Dn for 75% boards.

- Diamond Win keys are now Code.

Still need time to pick the right pantone for blue & maybe change gray :thumb:

A row3, 1.75u control key is missing, if the set would support the HHKB layout, considering that it already has the 1.5u row 2 backspace. Also you would consider to make the legends a bit darker, if they are suppose to be readable, at least in the mockup it looks pretty much unreadable.

I'd prefer the diamond, but I know there are people that prefer the code legend, the diamond being an icon is more layout neutral.

Digging around on Tiffany blue, one thought did occur.  It's a color only protected under trademark.  IIRC, trademarks are only valid within the given industry of the trademark owner.  Tiffany does make it difficult to obtain, however.

That said, the color info for Tiffany blue is:
Hex#: 81D8D0
RGB: 129.216.208
CMYK: 46.0.56.0
Pantone 1837

Might play with this site a bit: http://rgb.to/hex/81d8d0

Seems like it gives some options as Pantone 1837 is a private Pantone code.  7472 C doesn't look too bad at an initial glance.

Thanks for mentioning that, the 1.75 Control totally went by me since it's at a different spot on my HHKB ^-^

There aren't any plans to make legends darker but I'm not done looking through pantones.

Quick little update, will be using a greener color to match the Tiff box more instead of the shoe.
Most of the blue pantones that were even a bit close to what I want just looked washed out or like faded versions of the blues GMK already has.
May be close to what Nio linked, 7471 U is top choice right now.
This should solve the low contrast issue as well for ppl that thought that was an issue :thumb:

idueus makes a good point about the diamond being more layout neutral so I'm using that instead of code.
That & it's not seen as much as the code key so it's a bit fresher.

Also shower_king, if you could let me know where you heard about 6U molds that would be great.
I asked Sherry & he hasn't heard of new molds.

Thanks :)

There's already an Fn so I'll just add Ctrl & Alt.
Should look nice on the TADA68 ;)

Those should be the last keys added to this.

To be clear, it's this diamond.

In case you thought it was the og one in the novelties.

Will refer to it as GMK diamond from now so there's no confusion :)

7471 U is pretty nice.  It does look a bit more green.  I'll be curious to see a mockup with the blue and gray together to see how the contrast goes.

I hope this comment may be a bit naïve; but, why not just contact GMK and ask them if the mold for 6u space bar is available?

Awesome!

Sort of a beginner when it comes to less common layouts.
Is 6U used often?

Also, updated render.

I used the pantone's hex code in Keyboard Layout Editor to get the color except for CR where I just used black.
Can try to make the colors look like the pantone on screen tmrw if wanted.

It's not a common thing but certain 1800 layouts, certain 65/75% and topre layouts use them, though they can't be used with novatouch boards because of the off-center stem.

agree, this set acommodate 1800 well. if add 6U ,better, if not ,i could live without 6U. From my pointview , 6U is a new mould which will inject something new into this set just like 1.25×diamond in R4. Because the moulds for these new keycaps have been created recently and we who participate in this GB will not share the cost for creating mould.
estimate time of this GB is early or middle or late August? How long will this GB last ? a fortnight or one month?

The only mold for diamond legends that has been confirmed is for 1.25u row B, you should check if it is available for 1u row B and row A, it would be great if they are; but, each one is a different mold, the legend is like an skeleton of the key cap in the proper profile and size with the protruding legends at its top. Also, if they were available for 1.5u in row A or B would be great, because that could make the support for the HHKB layout even better and more accurate.

Hey, I'm adding 6U in blue :thumb:

Not quite sure, just August.
Will probably be as long as Skeletor which is about a month, it will be ran through Originative Co.
I just know that this will not start until Skeletor is over.

I'll try to follow up on this soon.

The GMK diamonds being only 1.25 so far totally passed by me.
Thanks for pointing that out :)

Picked a top 6 Pantones for Blue & Gray.

I'm feeling 9480 U for Blue & Cool Gray 1 XGC for Gray, that is if you go by Pantone instead of HEX.
Screen captures are from the Pantone site & Keyboard Layout Editor.
RGB, Pantone name & HEX code are in the keycaps from top to bottom.

I really like 7471 U and Cool Gray 4 U(s) :)

By the way, is that the Pantone number?

7471 U and Cool Gray 4 U would make the alpha more contrast, hence easier to read.

edit. Also it looks more similar to the Tiffany blue.

Add a screen shot from the Tiffany web site.

I can actually go with Cool Grey 1 XGC. I feel as if the 7471U  is closer to Tiffany Blue.

That's what it says on the Pantone site.

Thought it was weird since it's not number like, like 7471 U :p

Did my best to color match the keys to the Pantone image since IRL it probably will look like that more than HEX.

Hey, that's pretty good.

Looking good!  I'm curious to see how Cool Gray 4U would compare with 1 XGC.

Cherry legends are quite thick so I don't think it'll be a big issue. Really like the colours!  :thumb:
