Hello!
« on: Tue, 02 December 2014, 14:28:45 »
Hey everyone, I'm extremely new to mechanical keyboards in general and recently decided to splash out and buy a Realforce keyboard hoping for a more satisfying typing experience.
I can't say I'm disappointed at all after having primarily used charity shop keyboards over the years, however my new board is currently looking quite sad and bare, so I hope to grab some interesting keycaps in the future to help spice it up. ;)

I look forward to learning more during my time here and witnessing the wicked creations that you guys manage to brew up. :thumb:

You say it looks sad and bare, I say it looks purrrty.

I love that black on black.

Welcome! Great place to start with that Realforce, if you ask me.

I would say that your board looks fairly clean!
I was over $1000 in before I actually had a decent looking keyboard.
I didn't even have a clean looking stock board....

Welcome to Geekhack!

Can't say I've particularly noticed any ISO RealForce keyboards before!

Excellent WASD - it really makes the board :D
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
