[03/05/2018] KR kit update + proxy information
Many guys requested to add the KR won key and I added it.
Please refer to below
I hope that this modification will be satisfied.

And all proxies were set.
- KR : me in KBDLAB
- US : TXkeyboards (My big bro. KIN25's site ^^)
- EU : Candykeys
- CN : zfrontier
- SEA and Asia excepting CN : me in geekhack (google form)

[26/04/2018] Final design update
Hey you guys! GB will be progressed soon.
So I have been checked and finally I can update the designs.

1. Base kit
    - legends color update : CR ==> WS1 as same with Round 1
    - Add bar f and j
    - Add x6 center stem space bar
    - Delete all side legends

2. Icon modi kit
    - legends color update : CR ==> WS1 as same with Round 1
    - Delete num lock key
    - Add Happy bottom 4 key

3. New alphas Kit (KR kit) ==> All double shot from New mold
    - 26 alphas with KR
    - 2 alphas with KR as bar f and j
    ** font was designed by Goldworm. Thanks to Goldworm!

GB will be progressed early next month.

[05/11/2017] Rendering and layout Update
Designs are updated.
Maybe almost requests are applied.

Color is fixed.
- I think that this color is best match with modi color of GMK Dolch.
- If you have GMK Dolch, you will be able to use text modi and/or YURI Icon modi with it.
 
1) Base Kit : Some keys added and Novelty key color was changed.
2) ICON Modi Kit : Some keys added and small design changed.
                            Maybe novelty key will be deleted and YURI R1 Novelty will be added in next update

If I can find good US proxy who have interesting in this design, it will be helpful to get US side.

But If I can't find proxy, I will try to progress myself as previous my GB.
(it will be lead to increase GB price little bit than using proxy, but I want to be progressed with this design.)

Hi.
Come again here with GMK burgundy R2
Burgundy GB was finished well and I have been preparing the Round 2.
Just design starting stage, but I'd like to talk about concept.

Round 2 concept is text.
In case of Round 1, I used the Icon modi. but round 2 will be designed with only text as GMK oblivion.
Now I am considering the text color, I don't know what is best fit color for this set.
And maybe just one novelty key will be added and design will be wine glass.

As you see below, just starting and I will make some designs step by step.

If you have any ideas for making more beautiful Burgundy set, please let me know.

Target qty. of key is below 135 keys with only one set and it will be helpful to decrease cost.   
I hope that R2 will be started within end of this year.

[17.09.2017 Updated]
Basic layout updated.
- Legends color will be CP which is more smooth than WS1(Round 1).
- Layout is not fixed yet and starting point now.
- ICON KIT with YURI ICON

[14/10, 2017] Rendering update.
GMK Rendering is updated.
Total 2 kit.
Base kit have full text modifier.
And regarding some guys request, additional Icon modifier was designed with YURI Icon. 
As you see, modi color is perfectly same with dolch modi.
So if you get this sets, you can combine with dolch having text or YURI Icon.  ;D
Point novelty key is only reference. (Maybe new design will be needed or key delete)

Is the black legend color in your mockup actually being considered? I think it looks ugly :P  Once legend color is decided I can make renders for All Text vs All Icons

Burgundy is such a great set. I really like the white legends color. If want slight variation, can use colors like CP - same as in Dolch.

Full Yuri mods (with diamonds of course) or full text without Windows icons. For the Windows icon replacement : Super, Code or maybe even Sys or Cmd as novelties, so that other sets can reuse these new molds later on.

A R4 R3 Control could be added for HHKB support this time.

To be fair I’d guess it would do better now. The massdrop GMK sets seem to be doing better and better. The first few didn’t sell nearly as well as the recent ones.

Yeah, it was an issue of the overall concept and not the colors. I'd really like a new try with brown alphas with the sidelegends and red modifiers as a normal gmk layout set with icon mods, that would be awesome  :thumb:

always pricong is important..so kits have to be considered with cost and moq. Also design..led, side printing, point color key, novelty, etc....so hard to work to reach proper pricing.

I would personally like to see burgundy with CP for text color.

If it was a perfect world, I'd like to see RO1/CP for alphas and CC/CP for mods.  I don't care if it's text or icons.  I just like sets with less contrast between the modifiers and alphas :)

N9 looks better in the renders, but IRL I think it looks too dark.

Or... just run a full RO1 with CP.   I'd hit that.  People could put dolch modifiers on it if they choose :)

ok.. This weekend I will update this with below
               - legends color cp
               - text modifiler
               - other keys
               - delete the led keys(4keys)
               - add the 6u center stem space bar and r4 1x keys
               After updating, we will be able to progress more detail.

Only a few selfish request:
- I really hope you'd keep the CODE modifier button. As a macOS user, it's one extra paper cut every time I look down on my keyboard and see the WIN text (or worse, the flag icon).
- Best possible timeline would be a separate macOS modifier kit with ⌘, ⌥, and ^, but I guess YURI is fine too.
- Also, because I'm a very happy Leopold FC660M owner: Any chance of a "weird layout" kit with s second 2.25u Shift? 🙏
- On the final note, white legends please and thank you.

Burgundy round1 was designed with 9009 modi design. Now it's round 2 and I'd like to design with differences. Maybe base with text modi and Icon kit with Yuri design will be good. ;D

I am sorry for my mistake. 2 color is not custom color. But I already have GMK sample color ring and check to match this weekend carefully. But in my eyes, not matched..I still want to fix this color because this color matches with dolch and if someone has dolch, it will be ggod match. Also text modi and Yuri modi with dolch modi color didn't designed. So I wantbto fix this color.

The only variation I am aware of is that Originative's latest run (still available for sale on their site) actually deviates from the usual Dolch colours and uses WS1 for the legends, which is a more bright white than CP.

For consistency's sake, I would prefer for this set to use CP colours like the original colours are supposed to be, although I understand that this is completely up to the GB runner's discretion.

You are right. Now I have fixed the legend color as cp and already I requested rendering update to GMK.

it's pad printed so you can just use some 70% iso and a paper towel to get rid of it

The reason I hate it is it’s an ICON modifier pack. The Ctrl icon could look okay. But if I’m gonna use text there I’ll just use a normal Ctrl key.

Like I said before, a real Ctrl key is best. I use r3 Ctrl on every board I make. But the aesthetics of a caps lock key is better than a hybrid with a text legend.

There has been a lot of GMK Dolch runs over the years (I am talking about the original Dolch colours, not all the colour mix sillyness like Sky Dolch or Orange Dolch or the likes) and as far as I know most of them has stayed true to the original Dolch colours (N9 mods, CP legends). Ivan sets have used this colours, Kekkon's recent Dolch run has used this colour, the first Dolch set ran by Originative (on Massdrop) also used this colour set. The only variation I am aware of is that Originative's latest run (still available for sale on their site) actually deviates from the usual Dolch colours and uses WS1 for the legends, which is a more bright white than CP.

Are there any side-by-side comparisons of CP vs. WS1 legend caps with the same base color?  They look quite similar even as full sample caps; I'm curious if there's enough difference to spot as legends only.

(I have one of the WS1 sets, so CP compatibility is relevant to me!)

Can you please add the burgundy arrow cluster from the Massdrop Uniqey C70 accent pack to the Burgundy R2 modi add-on?

If you run R2 alongside the C70 groupbuy you might be able to get lower pricing since they are the exact same colorways and legends.

The HHKB and cousins (Leopold FC660M and Realforce 87U) use 6u center-stem. This is why modern GMK sets include the 6u center-stem spacebar (see Nautilus, Laser, 9009 R2, Taro, Camping, Muted, etc. etc.)

Yes MX HHKB keyboards usually use the 7u, however the traditional HHKB layout uses a 6u centered stem spacebar.

CP is the only actual OG legend and it makes the set universally compatible. Changing it to any other color legend severely limits its compatibility. At least the MODI kit should remain CP.

I just consider the alphas sublegends. So no striked w.

The Hangul keys look amazing!  Is there any chance of adding the striked w key?  That would make it even better!

Recently originative make  Hangul sublegend but maybe it is just pad printing. Double shot Hangul is first time in GMK sets. ;D
