Got my set a while ago, but didn't have a chance to even open the package until yesterday. I have to admit, I didn't understand the Dolch hype before, but now I think I'm in love. Thanks for running this buy, Ivan. Have a potato pic, my phone does weird things with daylight in my house.

If it is not to much trouble I would also take the keys now and you could either ship the wires with the gh60 (which as I understand is also waiting on the stabs) or the Pitch Black set or I pay extra for the shipping. Can't wait to get my hands on the dolch

I have a hard time believing that there were no extra sets sent with the initial orders made by GMK.

Those with missing keys will be taken care of. Since I am short on some particular legends keys I have asked GMK to send me some more.

I didn't say he didn't have extra sets. I only said he will not be taking care of people with missing keys till he has shipped the rest of the sets. He has said this a few times. Ivan was quoted regarding addition keys as well in the last post.

I wouldn't expect you to buy extra sets, that's not what I am saying. I am saying that with orders of this magnitude I am surprised gmk does not provide sufficient extras. I am not trying to bash anyone or complain about anything, I just found it surprising. Besides I have that code key sitting nicely where that one missing key is

try not using packing tape to secure the spacebars.

I'm having to use googone to get the packing tape residue off the spacebar bottoms and sides.
I'm worried it may damage the plastic =/

just to follow up, don't use goo gone on ABS plastics =/

To remove residue use a soft abrasive like a dry cotton cloth and simply use heat and friction to remove the majority of it by rubbing quickly.
Whatever is left remove with a 50/50 vinegar-water solution and the same cloth.

To remove tape residue from any sort of hard surface, I've always used more tape and stick it onto the sticky residue. Pull it off quickly and repeat the process. Eventually it'll pull everything off with no harm done, or any sticky residue left from rubbing the surface.

I also haven't PM'd you (Ivan) a final count on missing / damaged keys. :x Will GMK be allowing more "missing key" orders, or are they sending enough to cover everything?

Hopefully I will have enough to take care of missing keys all around. Damaged keys may be another story.

Sorry about inconvenience with the tape... I've had some issues in past with keys cutting hole in the mailer and arriving empty so it seemed like easy way to try avoiding that.

This is so important, and a lot of people don't think to do this.  Any time you put a solvent of any sort on a plastic, please test it on an inconspicuous location (directed at everyone, not you).  Different polymers interact with solvents in vastly differing ways, dependent on the actual chemistry of the polymer, so the behavior is predictable but if you don't know then please test it!

People have melted (dissolved, really) entire keycap sets and keyboards because they didn't do this.
