Hey don't do that, I'm a lot like you, buying two of CTRL/ALT's greatest designed key-sets ever.  Bunny made sure that there was time allocated to both sets hence when your paycheck rolls in for one set wait a fortnight's time for another paycheck to come in, easy purchase on both 8) .  That way you'll have these sets ready to fit out any keyboards you own.

Plus these babies won't be repeated hence you'll have something to show your grand-kiddies as time passes, they'll want to get their hands on these unique keys because there won't be anything like them in any other keyboard.

ugh, so tempting... :-\

Didn't buy the original HyperFuse as can't stand SP caps

Had convinced myself I was done buying anymore keycap sets after Feng's Cyan.

But with this being GMK and that it will match so nice with other sets (Cyan, Purple, WoB, Dolch, probably other combos) so hard

Ok lets do a quick and dirty 1800 mock up  and maybe that won't look good

**** that looks great on there. Can live with the profile legend mismatches that 1800's always have

Ugh must resist and stay strong  :-\

He was making a mockup using the available keys.
There is no 1u + key in this set which is why he didn't have it there and replaced it with fn.

Bunny, 2 quick questions:

Can u make sure my payment went through?
How much do you need donated for alternate 1.25x Winkeys?  That was further down the list I think, right?

it did sir all fine

as for extra keys

what i am going to do is this

i can say with almost certainty we will add the ctrl key the non iso front printed keys

when the buy time ends

i will go through any donations we have, list what extra keys we are able to buy with the set, and then also list how far away we are for the other keys people have requested and see if anyone wants to help make that happen if they arent far away

correct :) Almost always have this issue, but i'd rather be able to use a set with wrong legends or profiles that not at all.

the non iso front printed keys

Just to clarify, would these keys be doubleshot ISO legends, or doubleshot ANSI legends with no front print?

those 104/105 key 1800's that have winkeys are the most painful to deal with in GMK land. Needing 7 1x keys there on the bottom is tough. That is why my wNv just keeps its original WoB and nothing else

I couldn't hold out any longer, payday means GMK - submitted & paid! Now off to sell some stuff...

I can't imagine this GB doing poorly. GMK + Hyperfuse. The best cap makers making one of the best color ways. People that don't get in on his are just missing out.

Yup! If I could spare the cash, I would buy an extra 5+ sets just so some people that inevitably miss out could pick up one.

Are these PBT?
If not, are they at least good ABS? i'm totally reluctant to spend money on ABS caps but this does look like a nice set

Thick ABS.  Same as OG Cherry sets.  They're some of my favorite caps and it's a toss up between them and thick PBT to me.

Are these PBT?
If not, are they at least good ABS? i'm totally reluctant to spend money on ABS caps but this does look like a nice set

They are good ABS.
Do not get on the PBT >>>>>>>>> ABS hype train.
GMK is really good in quality and PBT is not strictly better.

For real, that hype train needs to die.

Although I will agree that ABS DCS from SP seems kind of trashy.
I've never owned a full set from them so I should probably do myself a favor and find a way to see for myself.

I wonder how many orders have been submitted already. Maybe the fastest GMK gb to reach the 250 MOQ yet?

i dont know about the fastest, i havent followed other gmk buys too closely

but we are certainly more than on track to hit it sooner rather than later

this

i get so many emails from people saying they wont order unless its pbt

speaking further with people, they honestly have no idea why they have that way of thinking, they just listen to other people and assume they are right

my favourite caps i own i have to admit are original pbt cherry dyesubs, very quickly followed by gmk/cherry double shots, but i would take gmk abs over pbt from anyone else, any day

The only time I see a superiority of pbt over abs is when you're xcomparing thick pbt to thin abs. No question there. Thick abs is a whole different ballpark though.

i only asked because i don't like the smooth texture that has been on the ABS keycaps i've used, but i've not ever used good ABS cap
but when i see photos of thick doubleshot ABS keycaps, they always look like they have a slippery/smooth texture like i've experienced on the poor ones i've used
do these not have a texture like that? it's a really nice looking set, i might have to buy it, despite the fact that i have 3x more unused keycap sets than i have MX boards :o

texture isnt just about the plastic

here are 2 pics of pbt sets (not the enter, the enter is abs, and clearly has more texture)

2 of abs sets

i gues you cant tell form the photo

but i can promise you, the pbt set is a lot smoother and slicker than the abs set

i also wouldnt be surprised if i had told you the top was abs if you would have believed me

the texture of a cap has far more to do with the mould and quality of the material that just whether it is abs or pbt

there seems to be some myth that pbt is by far superior, to some people and usage scenarios it will be, to most people it wont

truthfully its very subjective, and im not here to convince you one is better than the other, but more to say, often times, the quality and manufacturer of a cap will have far more difference to the feel and typing experience than the material used (between abs and pbt)

QFT! My Vortex doubleshot PBT caps = kinda sandpapery, not real pleasant even if they are durable. GMK spacebar = like sex on my fingers. I can't wait for a full set of GMK :thumb:

thanks very much for the information, i've always thought of PBT to be superiour but all else i've used is thin ABS
luckily i've got plenty of time to think about buying this

Any non-backlit ABS I have tried hasn't felt that bad. I have a double shot cap that is shiny, but doesn't feel slippery.
