Anyway you won't go wrong with topre, it's pretty good oneness with rubber cup feeling but the most down side for me is the inability to change caps like mx switches, well unless you're super keen with aesthetic I suggest you go for it!

Yeah, for etf it doesn't matter. The amount you put is the amount you will win if selected, but no less. So if you chose 5 and only 4 are available, then you don't win.
At least, that's how etf made it sound.
I know for other artisans if you select 5 but only 4 are available, you get those 4, but you actually select the caps you'd like to win, whereas etf's is completely random.

Since this was an all fugu sale I'm sure your chances of being able to pick one up off MM or classified should be easy! Especially since it was blindbox and some people may not like their colorways or prefer other ones.
I'm sort of hoping that this will cause a mass of trading to happen.
this is bound to happen, after every sale of a renowned artisan, usually there will be people putting them up for trades.
Indeed, usually I'm sad to see that happen but when the prize is is random it's inevitable. Just have to hope one of the few orange ones goes to someone crazy (who doesn't like orange??) and who won two or more Fugu so is happy to trade it for another cap. Not liking my chances...

Yeah, I think for this sale the amount you chose is the amount you'd win, no fewer. So those who won five were super lucky!

First Fugu sale, It had sets of keys as well as singles. Perhaps it was the sets that drove the entry for that raffle/sale? Or is that how it normally goes? I haven't been able to enter any sales myself but I'm curious of how many people enter a raffle vs the number of caps available. Its hard to find real numbers. I understand many reasons why and that's cool. I just want to know more, its all pretty fascinating when you step back and think about it.

Same here. I doubt you're on a blacklist even though it can feel like it sometimes. I've only won once out of the etf draws that I've entered. Just have to keep your hopes up, trade for what you want and try again next time.

What would I set an alert for, that eat_the_food has posted a reply? What site/service allows to set alerts like this? I did a follow on the thread and get notifications for hours on end (when I'm not at work and can actually check updates through tapatalk)

Why not both? No on needs a reason to sell anything. If I want money I can just choose to sell. Whether I want to pay bills, buy stuff for my daughter, or buy more hobby stuff I can do whatever I want. Just like anything, someone names a price and if someone else has the means and desire they will pay the price. If I'm not enjoying something anymore what is wrong with selling it? Call it flipping if you want, but I've had all my Nightcaps for quite awhile, enjoyed them, orchestrated trades/sales to get them.

Even if it was still FCFS you would have missed it then too...
I have not won at all but I still prefer the RNG. If it was FCFS you would have 5ish people winning every time.

I understand your frustration as I felt the same way having to be in a different time zone. I would wake up early morning waiting for the bird and I would doze off just a bit to miss it. Knowing you as we have transacted before that you are definitely better than this. Don't let this frustration get the better part of you. Believe me I have terrible luck with rng as well, booper sales (0/7) so far.
