I've been obsessed with getting a 65% layout that's actually symmetrical, so I like the idea. I just personally feel like if a board is just trying to go symmetrical, I'd prefer it to be as close to perfectly symmetrical and clean as possible. For me, I don't like knobs, logo/symbol type badge things, the thick top bezel, and the not quite symmetry. However, I think this is a good idea that plenty of people that aren't me will love. Hopefully we'll be able to see more symmetrical designs in the future.
