Interesting , nice work.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Show Image

it's a frame excerpt of the movie @ 93GB,  the frame in lossless png is only ~8 MB, it's safe to click.

I can say that a majority of my collection is at the 4000MB scale and have been replacing where I can to higher versions - reminds me I need to dig my bluray burner out of storage so I can rip some of my UHD versions.
I am currently working on updating my drive array from the 2TB x 10 to a 4 to 6TB x10 array instead to allow for higher quality and mass consolidation so I can repurpose some of my 2TB's for other builds and game arrays.

Hmm... good moment to talk about movies collection storage.

How do you guys keep your movies collection?
Most of my old movies (80-90s collection) is in around 2GB files, then my favourite are stored in 3-4GB files.
Those most important, in about 6-10GB files.

So I only have them on my 4TB ext usb drive. No backup :O
I prefer portability, so I guess my only choice is to buy another 4TB for backup copy?
To be honest, buy another 3 as my main 4TB is full...

We're in 2021 - why the hell we do not have huge drives in small forms?
Like at least 10TB usb 2.5" hdd for $150 top...

I want 10TB SSD for $200. :D

100 TB is a good size to start with. each movie is around 20gb for standard bray, 50gb for 4k.

You can do up a server with sata. It'd have better i/o but since movies are mostly read only, I'm not sure it's worth the cost unless you already have all the stuffs.

A low powered old rig with a usb 3.0 card+ hub is more than enough.

Nah, I prefer portablility, USB drives. I guess I need to buy another 4TB for backup.

50GB - I only have my Indiana Jones and Star Wars in 50GB files.
BTW, tp - have you seen those brand new Indaian Jones 4K versions?
I saw somewhere a review saying they messed up colors.

The lost ark was fine, the other ones looked a bit soft, colorwise, it's different but and pastel in places I'm guessing due to the degrain algorithm in certain shot.

Which version would be best, in your opinion?
From all bray and 4K versions out there?
Whole set. I'm looking to get whole set.

There's never a best version, there's always something fuzzy. I wouldn't get the vanilla now that the 4K is out.
