GB Will Run May 20th to June 24th!
GB is LIVE

So here we are, one year after the IC for GMK Windbreaker. After seeing the way people were interested in the set, I really wanted to figure out a way to make it happen. Unfortunately between things like Covid, massive queues, etc. etc., going through GMK just didn't seem to be the best path forward for this keyset. So GMK's out, I have no faith in being able to dyesub this properly, many other manus make me nervous about matching so many custom colors when they're so new, and some manus' process is simply incompatible with "handarbeit" style color blocking (e.g. JTK shoots all their alphas at once, so you'd need full sets of alphas for every color").

So that brings us to this: DCS Windbreaker. I'm opting for cherry-style legends, because while I appreciate the historic value of the Gorton ones, I think they're simply too thin for the already pitiful contrast on some of the caps.

Hey y'all, been busy with other projects but just for clarity, yes the "real" base kit is gonna be something along the lines of the combination of kits on the HBCP.

I recently acquired a Neons and Pastels Pantone book, so I'm going to revise the colors of the renders a bit (no major overhauling planned, just some tweaking to get them exactly where I want).

Edit: I do really like the render that shows all of the assorted add on kits on one board. The base kit by itself though I don’t care for quite as much. Just a thought, though I’m not sure this is being worked on any more: why not take a page from GMK Panels and offer a single base set with the wild color blocking.

The appeal (IMO) is the blend of colors, and having to order a bunch of kits to supplement a rather meh base is going to drive up the price and make it hard to justify.

When I saw the set name this mess of colors was the idea I thought of instantly! Wish it was all in one base kit instead of so many child kits though. So many child kits will really increase the price more than I personally would like to spend. Still amazing work with this set!

I can't see how you could get these really bright colors and have an entirely reverse dyesub set, that would be better than dmk or jtk. The price of a kit like that in pbt would prob be just as expensive if not more than dmk or jtk.
