Good ol' Logitech G400. I love it but it's getting old so I'm passively shopping for a new one.

I honestly love my Razer Naga, I have a first generation one that is surprisingly still working and a 2014 that I don't like as much but it's still good. I originally bought one to use when playing WoW but I got use to the side buttons and even though I don't really play games anymore I still have all the buttons programmed for easy shortcuts on the computer.

I am currently using the Finalmouse. For me, it is the perfect mouse for FPS gaming as it is extremely light but it isn't too small. The sensor is absolutely flawless.

Right now I am using a Razer Deathadder Chroma mouse and very new for testing a Trackball (which I never used before) to help me wrist relax for regular computer stuff (non-gaming). The  Trackball is a Kensington SlimBlade.

G700 since 2010, been through the ringer, some thumb buttons cut out intermittently.
G602 since 2013, really frustrated with the known middle click issue, I've had to remap the function to another button.
Slimblade since 2011, left hand home use only, to reduce stress on my right wrist.

I want to retire both mice but not sure what to buy.
MX Master is tempting but the non-removable battery... ugh.
Need a big mouse with a high arch and lengthy palm grip.

G700 and a G700s. One for the lappy, one for the desktop. Both have pretty short battery life with the current profiles I run. An average of about 16 hours.

I would nominate the MX518 as the best mouse made, at least in recent memory.  I had acquired the MX518 in 2006 because someone owed me money and couldn't pay, so she gave me a Logitech speaker set (which my son still uses) and the mouse, they both ended up being far better than just getting the money paid back to me.

I've used the Logitech G402 for over a year now but after wrist pain, I decided to try out a couple ergonomic mice.  So as you can see, I'm currently using the Kensington Orbit Trackball and the ZeleSouris Ergonomic Vertical Mouse.  In terms of relief, the vertical mouse certainly helps the most, being extremely comfortable!  I noticed the trackball was somewhere in-between the vertical mouse and the G402 in terms of comfort.  After I use the trackball and vertical mouse for longer, I'll probably put up a review.

Not so much the scroll wheel, but I do have issues with the mouse sensor itself, even the tiniest bit of 'fluff' on the mouse pad and it goes ballistic. What happens when yours gets dirty? Does it just stop functioning?

Interesting, I have also experienced what you are reporting. It's rare, and I just blow off the sensor area and it's good again.

When the scroll sensor starts getting dirty, it will start reading the scroll movements as really twitchy and random. Makes it impossibly annoying to scroll down a page, or scroll in or out on your camera view in an MMO, for instance. Luckily it's just dust so a shot of aerosol CRC contact cleaner does the job perfectly, I don't even have to open up the mouse body.

Thanks for the solution, I'll be sure to have the CRC contact cleaner readily available if/when I do have that problem, mine is somewhat new I guess or maybe I'm just not scrolling enough. :p

Logitech MX Master. Just got it today from an old man on craigslist for $35. Couldn't believe it when he handed me the mouse in an unopened box :). Very nice mouse so far, ergonomics are perfect for my larger hands, and the program-ability is great.

Sure thing! A can of that stuff isn't very expensive, and it's easy to find and is indispensable IMO. I usually buy it at the Napa auto parts when it's on sale, and all the other generic auto parts stores carry it as well. Almost all hardware stores also usually carry it.

As a no-life-status cs:go player, my daily driver is my SS Rival.  Just preoredered the Ducky Secret.  The folks at OCN have me paranoid that it's too heavy (120g w/o cable) to be a good gaming mouse, but I have my fingers crossed that I'll like it.  If I don't like it for gaming I'll just bring it to work.

The Cm Storm Alcor. Had the Zowie FK, Asus Gladius and the Mionix Avior 7000 previously.
The alcor however is by far my favorite, light weight (86g), good sensor (Avago 3090) and comfortable shape.
Not to mention the incredible price of 30€ I got it for :)

I've been using the mx 510, mx518, g400, g400s, the form factor is just perfect.  This was further confirmed when I was shopping for a new mouse recently.  I bought the g502, it was just horrible, the form factor is the same, but the mouse is ruined by the new features.  The grip on it creates sweat.  The 1337 h4x0r sniper button is just where your thumb rests so you're always accidentally clicking it.  The scroll wheel is slippery as hell.  The buttons above and below the scroll wheel have been moved to a very awkward position (these buttons are great for home and end while scrolling GH and always going into posts you're watching and want to go straight to the end of the post to see the newest reply).  The look has also changed to a obnoxious gamery look where it looks the mouse is stitched together with a lot of parts which look and feel they could all fall apart any second.

I also tried the Zowie EC-2A.  It was OK.  Resembles the ms 3.0 which was awesome in the old day for cs.  But that's just it, the mouse is good for cs, because it's good for palm grip which is good for fps.  But claw/fingertip grip, which i use for Starcraft II, is not good on it.  The side buttons are also very bad.  Maybe the ambidextrous offerings from zowie are better for claw grip but they will still feel cheaper than the classic logitechs.  So I learned my lesson that the Logitech's mentioned above are classics.  I still want to try Logitech g9x, they might be good, but discontinued.
