Polycarbonate plates are in, they turned out pretty well and look cool.









I'll be contacting people that've already bought some later tonight.

I have 10 spare ANSI plates, so PM if you'd like to buy.

Going to be building this on Wednesday so I'll give my impressions on feel then :D

Looks nice.  I had one custom cut from big blue saw a while back but it took me a while to scrape off all of the furry edges around the cutouts.  Did it come to you this clean?

Long time since the last comment but got some potentially good news.

Thinking of doing a small run of some brass plates. I can get some done locally for about $30 a plate, unsure on finish (I think just raw). Turn around would be extremely quick, maybe a week for production.

Will be the style of the bottom plate here:

Hows the PC plate vs metal?
It's a very different typing experience. Bottoming out is much softer, and some of the sound gets dampened by the plate. I originally built it with silents on a steel plate which was a bad combo for me because of the harsh bottoming out feel.

I'm in the process of building my second PC plate with vintage blacks and I'm curious to see how the difference is with those. Vintage black is my go-to switch, and I've used those with most common plate materials, so it will be interesting to see how it compares to brass for example.

I don't think there is interest for that quantity at that price so going to put this on hold for now & focus on other stuff (unless demand presents itself here).
