3 Button Purity....
« on: Thu, 24 March 2016, 02:09:13 »
This has really began to bug me..

All the new cool hip mice,  don't use the same switch type for right, left, and middle click.

For example,  the G303, the G502,  we still got the d2fc omron for left and right..  but middle click is now an smd switch...

Wait... Are you saying even left and right mouse button may differ? That would drive me mad instantly!

no... the left and right are always the same..

the middle is the issue on the new mice.

Still, horrible enough. My Avior 7000 has also a different switch judging from the sound and feel.

The middle button will never feel the same, even with identical switches, so long as you have a scroll wheel. Varying amounts of leverage, different pivots, and even different angles of attack are all going to conspire against you, and that's before you even take into account the different shape of the "button".

Want equal buttons, find an old mouse with an actual center button and no scroll wheel, personally, you can have my scroll wheel when the mouse is dead.

I would say the middle click feels very similar in terms of the timing/resistance/sound as long as the switch is the same..

Whereas when I had my 502, the middle click felt VERY different.. and because it had the side scrolling, it rocks a bit and doesn't feel as --predictable-- as a non side scrolling wheel..

Certainly you can get used to it, but, my point is if there was a choice.. I'd choose the more uniform presentation.

But see the fotos in the OP,  you CAN'T change the middle mouse button to the regular Omron..
