Imagine reading in the 21st century -_-.
I was in Discord with my friend, and we were just chilling, talking to one another, until we had nothing to do. We sat there doing nothing listen to music bot "Rythm" (RIP) for like 30 minutes. One of my friends said "Let's make a keycap set, and see how far we can go. I don't think it's that hard to make a set. And let's compare your set to one another." So, I made this. I said to my friends "This will actually hits MOQ, if it is GB." They disagree with me, so we bet. One of my friends saw this clip of people doing a wax mold of their hands. So, if this set actually hits MOQ, they have to send me a wax mold of their pp. If it doesn't, I have to send them mine. Just a normal thing for us. (please help me t—t) You don't have to believe that this story is real, I might made this up.

I want to make a simple dark green set.

You guys who are worried if SP is actually going to make this or not. I've asked SP about the sublegends, and they said they are totally fine with those sublegends and they can make it.

This is an explanation of some of the sublegends that might confuse you. QOCK - If you put it in Google Translate, it sound like cock. (I cannot find a meme word that starts with Q.) EYES - refers to Simon's eyes, and also that E-Y-E-S joke. Juan - refers an image of a horse standing on a balcony. This is hilarious to me idk why. ZOOM - refers to Zoom Meeting related jokes. (I cannot find a meme word that starts with Z.)

About those red sublegends. My idea is that those sublegends says "GMK BAD BUT DCS GOOD", as I want to express that don't buy GMK their MOQ system is bad, their lead time is awful, they don't really care about customers. I wanted to make them pad printed because eventually they'll wear out = by the time they wear out, that's the time I hope GMK is good again.

10u Kit

Renders by Izeri Considering the first idea of this set has a sublegends, Izeri cannot use Fooblitzky's DCS models for all of the caps. So, Izeri mixed KRK & Fooblitzky's DCS models together to make renders for this set.

As you can see the color of this set is really similar to GMK Taiga. I've asked the designer GMK Taiga (Oggi)
if it is fine for me to use this color scheme, and he said yes.

i mean, i can't argue with that. yes, i choose dcs because of its lead time, but that's not the only reason. i prefer dcs over gmk, i like the sound that it gives, i like its feel. eventhough it is thin and some people don't like it, but i personally really like it.

DCS lead time is actually like 4-5ish months, so it's still a pretty long wait

it was really low when resin supplies were good and everyone was on the GMK train, but now people are more open to it and are buying it

DCS sets aren't doing numbers like GMK or SA sets (and i don't expect them to pick up that kind of traffic given its totally unwarranted reputation) so it shouldn't get super crazy like in the past with SA

the ABS shortage continues to ease up as well, albeit slowly

basically i think this is the wrong set to be mad about

I feel you, DCS Rectifier had barely 37 IC form fill outs, I'm working on now just doing a small batch Alps version of the set, it looks like I was able to get a bit more people interested in the set this way. Although I would have loved to have ran this in normal MX too, I wish more people filled out IC forms as we definitely use those to gage interest on our sets. When numbers are low this doesn't give us a lot of hope that a set will do well at market. I pray you don't cancel this set, I went in on DCS Paperwork and plan on doing the same for this one, I think I've filled out the IC form for this set a few times now too.

probably not. i noticed that 2 weeks ago, i'm in the process of redoing all of the sublegends. if unfortutely this cannot be fixed, this'll be pad-printed with smaller sublegends or i'll need to cancle it (because of low interests i'm afraid that it is not going to hit moq, so i'm leaning towards canceling it). thanks for pointing that out tho  :thumb:

Nooooo, don't cancel!  The only double-shot sublegend issue I see is with the [{ keycap.  You could use just two letters, or cancel that specific keycap.

Also, the sublegends don't need to be as large as your B RUH example to be within SP's manufacturing capability.  The size of the capital letters in SP's sublegends should work, like P and D on the render's PgDn.

Regarding the red sublegends, how about pad printing on the front rather than on top?

i think i’ll change it to two letters word. B RUH letters follow SP’s double shot guideline (https://docs.google.com/file/d/1Bv3VVh56S94GjYJuvkemIw1-51A67pmY/edit?usp=docslist_api&filetype=msword). they are as thick as alphas legends. i can make them smaller in height, so they take up less space, but it’ll look weird. i don’t know how they do their PgDn, i have to ask them about that.

Update regarding sublegends

So someone wanted to see renders with the correct sublegends. I photoshopped the photos, and the sublegends are too big making the overall alphas looks too clustered and disproportionate. This is my fault for not looking at it first. I tried fix it by making it smaller. I asked SP regarding the double shot guide line that they gave to me when it is applied to designing letters they're as thick as the alphas. So I asked them about the mods legends, they're noticeably smaller and thinner than the alphas legends. And if I design the sublegends to have the same thickness and height as the mods legends, can they make it. They didn't say yes or no, but they give me the dimension of it, so I think they're ok with it. I go back to check my renders and oh boy am I lucky the sublegends are ± 2pt from the dimension that they give me a bit more a bit less on some keys. I don't see a big difference, so I think it's not worth editing them all over again. Luckily I still have the old sublegends file, so everything is fine.

TLDR; the renders sublegends already have the correct sublegends which are as big as the mods legends.
Edit : don't worry about the ± 2pt difference, it has already been fixed, but just to be safe i will check it again before it goes to gb.
