Very nice, can you do a typing video?

That's a great idea. I can do a side-by-side of white, blue, red and black.

Can you use the WASD as arrow keys? If not, what about the bottom right keys?

The default Poker function layer has the arrow keys under the WASD keys when you use the fn key.

Awesome. I've been trying to figure this out. Thanks. Looks like my next board will be a poker.

That would be very nice!

Given that I've built up three different Poker X boards with different switches, BlueBär suggested that I put together a video showing the different sounds of each switch. On Saturday, I took some time to do just that.

Thank you for this video, Mashby!  I've watched it a few times and have skipped around among the different keyboards.  It seems like the pitch of typing sound produced using aluminum case keyboards is higher, whereas plastic cases have more of a deeper "thonk" kind of a sound.  I can't actually tell which I like more out of all those.  At first I thought it was the Duck Poker with MX Reds, but then I couldn't decide.  Perhaps the last keyboard with MX Whites sounded the nicest to me.  I've noticed that there's a fair amount of wobble with both of the stock plastic cases as you typed.  I'd love to try an aluminum case someday.

I painted them using VHT vinyl dye. Very simple to do. Just clean them with soap and water then spray a few light coats. The color I used was charcoal grey, which is actually slightly darker than the stock grey caps. They have a bunch of other colors you can choose too. I bought the paint from Amazon btw.

So they're the stock PBT caps? And it just dyes over any of the legends? Are you saying I could be free of "Enjoying My Feelings"?

Yes you are correct. The legend is laser etched I believe so it'll be barely visible after you paint it. For instance if I look closely at my mod keys you can kind of see the lettering, but its hardly visible.

Dayumn, I just like the dark grey colour. That would be quite hard to get some of those. Any sets with a similar dark grey colour that I can get for around $75? Blanks preferred.

Which one are you talking about? wyse or dolch? they both have greys...

You can get wyse boards for extremely cheap on ebay or in the classifieds. You can definitely get a wyse set for under $75. Dolch PAC boards can be found for about $60 iirc, but you'll need to spend more on a moogle adapter kit. Sherry's set will be $105 when he starts selling them again.

Blank wyse/dolch doesn't exist.

Grey blanks for around $75.. try imsto thick pbt.

Yeah I know they both are grey. I meant that it would take a lot of time and effort to get a hold of some.

So as far as blank pbt goes, I should go with imsto? Those are what I'm currently looking at but I would like the grey to be slightly darker.

Imsto pbts are the only blank, grey 'thick' caps you can get afaik. You could get wasd caps but they're pretty crappy.

Anymore I think those are really hard to get for under $100 or more.

Yes a few have been gotten really cheap on ebay but at least one of those the ebay seller didn't now what they were doing because they told me that after it sold haha.

Grey blanks for around $75.. try imsto thick pbt.

Where to get a Dolch Pac for about $60 :o

Anymore I think those are really hard to get for under $100 or more.

Yes a few have been gotten really cheap on ebay but at least one of those the ebay seller didn't now what they were doing because they told me that after it sold haha.

I think someone posted about one recently in great finds that was BIN for around $60-$80 including keyboard.

Yes that was 2 months ago and it was an Inet branded board (still same keys and internals) and that is the ebay seller I was referring to who said they should have researched that one better and had a higher price.

The shipped price should have been closer to ~$90.

I was going to just buy the keyboard but waited too long and dorkvader got it! Hope he does something cool with it.

And I agree 3 or 4 months ago these were going buy it now on ebay for much less than they do now.

I can't remember who it was, i think it was jwaz, got a bit worked up in irc and said that dolch boards are worth no more than $60 since they're common and always in good condition (since the kbd folds away).
