also are those doubleshot PBT caps?
No
they look pretty nice.
Also no, j/k  :)

Edit - Carrying this over :)
we look to both have the vortex low profile cnc case that was meant for the PURE but fits the poker and vortex plate (the "iMav" plate), could be wrong lol.

the caps are the SP doubleshots you buy direct from them, plus the doubleshot  poker modifiers that i think originated once from techkeys.

I've said it before, but I love the WoR caps with the Pure case. They almost look like they're just floating.

Nice looking Poker, is it just me or is the Esc a slightly different red to the rest of the board?
What caps are those?

Is that the vortex pure alu case? Did you buy it on it's own?

The Esc is a GMK Genuine Cherry cap, that's why it's a different hue.
They're the White on Red Klaxon caps.

Probably (My guess would be a Cherry double shot ESC), WoR Klaxon (RA2.0 Clone), yes, and yes.

More than likely.  I just got a new camera that I've done no real stuff with and had a pretty harsh light source for that shot, too.

Klaxon is a red alert 2.0 clone originally meant for the picture I posted as I wanted white on red input keys to match the white on red mod sets.

Ah, so the only way I'll get one is by buying a Pure with one? :/
Or of course if I can find someone who wants to sell theirs.
Is it the same story with the plates?

Yerp.  You may be able to get a plate through the GH60 group buy that will work, though.

Seeing as I can't see a lot of the pics here at work - has anyone spray painted a poker plate before adding it to their board?  Tempted to spray mine a metallic red :D

I am in the process of building up my first Poker and with the new Klaxon sets I received I could not resist taking them for a test drive. PCB isn't installed yet, just switches, plate and case.

This is not a Poker but a GH60 with ANSI 1.5x plate. I prefer the painted look to bare metal.

Sorry, I should have included that info. I sanded it with 80 grit sandpaper to prepare it for the paint. Then I used regular Krylon Semi-Flat Black spray paint.

I recently bought some Valspar Sumptuous Purple Satin, and some Rust-Oleum Red Heritage Satin and Hunter Green Satin to try on different plates.

I'd be interested to see how that red turns out. I think I'd prefer to go with a matte paint to hopefully give it a sort of powder coated look.

The reasoning behind me not using "flat black" or "matte" and going with the semi-flat or satin paint is that, if I ever add LEDs for certain keys, the light will still reflect a bit off the plate surface.

Thanks for the ideas guys - I definitely prefer the painted look over the bare metal.  I'll probably give the red a go and then if I don't like it I can always sand it back again and respray black (which will definitely look awesome :D)

Does the layer of paint interfere with the tolerance of the switch hole? Or does the paint on the inside of those holes just scratch off when you mount the switches?

You realize that would require you to desolder every switch and undo all the LED mod I did for you, right? You have to strip everything to remove the plate.

With the upcoming GH60 plates.. lol

I think I have to desolder the LEDs on the bottom row and mod it because they're interfering with the key press.

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't find that it interfered with mounting any of my switches. But I purposely did NOT try to coat the inner surfaces of the switch holes with paint. I didn't do anything special to prevent it, but I only used light paint coats, let it dry, and sprayed the next coat. I used 3 thin coats of paint.

Potato pic at work, but this is my recently arrived KBT Pure with MX Whites. I modded it last night to have 62g springs, 65g for the spacebar, sparkle motion teal stickers, victorinox lubed springs, and GPL-103 on the switch internals. Feels pretty nice to type on but is only an alpha version of this board. Eventually it will have Cyan LEDs and a completely clear plexi case with most likely a different set of keys.
