Greetings everyone, Dashan here from Unikeys. I'm sure many of you are no strangers to Kailh switches, especially the Cream switch series that has held its popularity in this hobby for years. No matter if it is used in stock condition or being broken in for better smoothness, the cream switch always leaves a lasting and exceptional impression on us.

However, some people noticed that since the debut of Cream Switch, Kailh has taken a step back in the switch market. As far as my understanding goes, Kialh dedicated its efforts to refining its molds, enhancing switch materials, and reimagining switch designs. These endeavors lie at the core of the brand's temporary "disappearance" from the global market scene.

But rest assured, the absence is only temporary. Excitingly, we are now reintroducing another outstanding switch crafted by Kailh – one that holds immense promise. Without further ado, let's delve into the details together and explore what this remarkable switch has to offer.

Why Kailh Spring Switch

Introducing the Spring Switch, Kailh's latest addition to the world of custom switches, boasting a range of distinctive features. manufactured with precision using cutting-edge POM housing molds which increases the smoothness of the switch and reduces stem wobble.

A notable innovation lies in the stem's construction—a deliberate stride towards aligning with contemporary switch design trends. Crafted from the relatively novel POK material, the stem carries an exceptionally low surface friction coefficient, amplifying the switch's smoothness when compared to its predecessor: the cream switch.

The Spring Switch's stem, taking on a box-style form, sounds slightly higher pitched compared to its Cream series predecessor, producing a distinctively and slightly clacky sound profile. To modulate this auditory profile, a suggestion is to embark on the process of hand-lubing the stem rails and the upper housing touch points to create a less harsh and more concentrated sound.

A captivating facet of the Spring Switch experience lies in its amenability to the break-in process, promising the potential for an even heightened level of smoothness. The POM housing's enduring composition renders it receptive to the smoothing effects of break-in, particularly refining the surface of the bottom housing rails. Notably, the resilience of the POK material in the stem contributes to a more gradual impact during the break-in procedure.

While the Spring Switches already present a commendable level of smoothness in its factory state, enthusiasts have the option to break them in for an enhanced typing experience.
