Thanks for your feedback!I think that for those keyboards, the kit is good and offers a lot (although it’s not my area of expertise). Looked over the 1.75u shift support.
>no split right shift, no split backspace
we have R4 1.75u SHIFT + R4 1u FN and R1 1u BS + R1 1u Novelty
This keyset was initially developed for ortholinear keyboards such as Planck and Preonic, or splits such as Corne and lily58, and later for 60% layout. I myself am a designer of 40% split called Zinc and also 40% Aleth42. So, first and foremost, it has to be 40% compatible.
the set looks interesting but the kit is absolutely horrendous
QF-effing-T. Amen!the set looks interesting but the kit is absolutely horrendous
This is what 40s users say when they see a set where we'd have to buy a giant base kit and a separate 40s kit to make it work.
Colors look great, but I hate the kit. No 1.5 backspace or mods kills it for me.
But I really think the minimum you should support is 65%, split BS and 7u Spacebar.
any particular reason for dropping support for boards larger than 60%?
If moq is high you should focus on a larger potential consumer base instead of limiting it to 60% and smaller. Your argument makes no sense and you’re contradicting yourself.
Heck, even 60% support is mediocre since there’s no support for 7u spacebar, no split right shift, no 1.5u bottom row, no split backspace. So really your consumer base is 60% users with a standard poker layout, or 40% stuff etc.
Not enough MDA. I love that profile.Seconded. I’m on the fence about the set, but this would push me to the “buy” side of it definitely.
So I can probably forget about it, but need to ask: Any chance of a Colevrak kit?
for being a 40s-oriented set, this has awful 40s kitting
at minimum you should include 1.75u R2 Backspace, 1.5u R3 Enter (ideally also with an accent option), 1.25u R4 Shift, and 2x 3u bars
EDIT: however if that support were added, I would be very in for this set

Thank you for your feedback!
Sorry for not responding to you individually.
After much discussion with the vendors, we've decided to expand the layout to TKL, with 3u spacebar, 7u also spacebar, and ISO enter.
The attached layout is the one that will be added.
Vendors and pricing will have to wait until GB.
Of course, it will be worldwide GB!

this is certainly an improvement, but the missing Minivan mods (1.75u R2 backspace and 1.5u R3 enter) means I'll be skipping this set—and I suspect this will also be true for many other 40s users. which is disappointing, to say the least, for a set that supposedly focused on 40s kitting.
I'm genuinely curious how many 40s boards are out there thay require minivan kitting. I have like a dozen 40% boards and they're all 1u with the odd 2u or 1.25u mixed in.

Current or upcoming boards with minivan layouts: MB44, Oceanographer, Menhir, Dango40, v3n, Coriander, P4kc3r, Field Trip, Whiskey, MFR, and probably others I can't remember off the top of my head
R2 1.75u and R3 1.5u molds for the MDA do not exist.
I checked with the manufacturer again to be sure.
Sorry about that.
Layout render updated!
I really want this kit but I am not on a QWERTY layout so I would love the have a "scoopless" F and J key. Do you plan on having the "scoopless" versions included as well?Just curious, what alternative layout do you use that has the letters in the same rows? MDA is not a uniform profile.
Thanks!

We're getting close to GB
It also seems to cover 40s really well.

Now GB LIVE!The GB thread isn't open yet, am I right?, I'd like to see which of the vendors have the deskpad as well so I can order it along the keycaps. Thanks!
