Alright guys, I thought I'd try my hand at this whole "Run a group buy and lose your entire damn mind" thing. The keycap set I'd like to do is inspired by the novel Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card, but it should appeal to anyone who just likes the color scheme as well. Below is a mockup done by the lovely hazeluff. The escape image is the chinese character for "Dragon" (or it looks close enough to the sources I've checked, but I'd appreciate if someone verify it doesn't say "Dog Semen" or something like that). We didn't try to go with an actual image of a dragon because we thought it would be impossible to find one doubleshottable, buit if you DO find one, let me know.

Let me know:

1. if you are interested in a set
2. if you have opinions on how the sets should be broken up/what add-ons should be available (although I'm super selfish and actually don't really want any add-ons at all.)
3. if you think any of the colors should be changed.
4. if you have a problem with SP's ISOTHERM font, which I was planning on using.

Ideally I'd like this thing to NOT take as long as round 4, which is why i'd like to offer as few options as would generate enough interest. Personally I no longer have any boards with a numpad, so I could even do without the full 104 key set, but I figured that would cut down too much on potential interest. I AM planning on including a normal "Esc" escape key, so 105 key would be ideal.

Obviously, prices will scale with order size. It should be as reasonable as possible though with not a thousand options, and only one custom legend.

Not keen on the arrow key icons, maybe ^v<> style instead if you don't want standard arrow style.

I think the 84 + 17key numpad set is a nice way to break sets. The Diablo GB is the only full set I've ever considered and I'd have to build a numpad to use that part.

Love the colors. I would buy a set if we had some different arrows and a couple more options for the esc key

All sets should be

Base 87 keys (+any special additional)
tsangan kit for winkeyless, and many other boards
10keypad for 104 boards
and maybe ISO depending if the few ISO people want the set

I can totally do it that way if the smaller sets will be worth it. I just want it to be as affordable and quick as possible. I also would be willing to put it on hold until some of the others finish up if it's not a great time. I just figured with round 4 (theoretically) finishing soon, people might need one more thing to salivate over.

I love the Key-cap set as is. And will be buying One Full 105 keyset. But you know what it's like here, hard to stop at one when you see it in all it's beautiful glory.

I especially love the colour choice.......nice.

I'd love to see a GH esc key. I'm not a big fan of the current esc but enjoy the scheme of the caps. Either way, thanks for doing this!

I'm all about the orange. I'm not sure about the grey, but regardless of the modifier color, I would like to have an extra tilde and backslash in modifier colors. Do that, and I'm in for a couple of TKL sets, and maybe numpad, if it has the 1x option keys for the GoldTouch numpads.

I just recently read Ender's game aloud. I may be interested in a TKL set.

I'm open to suggestions on that, but I was thinking OBC (orange), GSC (grey), and WFK (white).

Also, you guys are right, I will include a geekhack esc. Would you want white on orange, white on grey, or grey on orange?

Also, in a couple seconds, there should be some updates to the survey to help figure out WHICH sets people want.

GLWIC indeed. This doesn't seem like anywhere near enough interest. I'm not sure if its because there are too many other GBs at the moment, or it's just not a great set. Sorry to the people who expressed intrrest (dare I say, got their hopes up?), and particularly sorry hazeluff who did all that work for nothing. pm me if you want to take me up on my original offer of $$ for your art.
