[IC - First Round]


Welcome to GMK Succulent Garden! While I'm not new to the community, this is my first time trying to bring one of my designs to life, and I am so excited to hear everyone's feedback and get some good advice!


Once I get some feedback on colors and renders, the next step will be making the novelties, so suggestions for those are welcome. These renders were made using this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OL_4GyO1glk&ab_channel=DakotaFelder) Blender tutorial by @DakotaFelder. I'm fairly new to Blender and while I'm doing my best to learn, I'm unfortunately still in college and am unable to dedicate huge chunks of time to learning it (or money to pay other people to do it for me lol). However, I do have pretty extensive CAD experience and the "figure it out as I go" approach has been working pretty well, but tips are certainly welcome!

**Note: I felt the "white" legends were not rendering properly, or at least not in way where they actually look white. For this reason, I also included my render on keyboardsimulator.xyz. I am not sure whether I should pick a different shade or if I just need to adjust some setting in Blender.

anyways have a look at the rest of the ICs in this channel (preferably the ones with higher numbers of views/comments) to get a feel for what an IC typically looks like. thanks and good luck!

Colors are fine.

There's a lot of color ways coming out and it seems like right now, considering the state of the hobby, sets need something seriously unique to build interest. GMK Nerve has a crazy pop of color with some really interesting novelties, GMK ZX is harkening back to the Sinclair and incorporates R0 and R5 keycaps, GMK FTRO has some beautiful marketing and renders with some unique sub-legends.

Try giving the community something to talk about, to build interest, so feedback comes naturally.
