Kinda of reminds me of dcs midnight.

This is what it reminded me of right away - not a bad thing, I love DCS Midnight.

Why are all the nice minimal-looking sets all dark-color based :(

Love the color choice. But don't love the black base.
Make sure to fill out the form with the request of a light base. Going through all feedback and taking everything into consideration!

quite interesting. Honestly, I'd like to see more in the novelties kit, whether it be more caps or more designs, and perhaps the deskmat isn't as great as it could be. The colors are quite nice, but I'd definitely like to see a little more in these two areas.

Loving the desk mat but I agree with the rest on adding more colours! I also find the novelties a little strangle, the minimalism comes off as vaguely tech-y when it should be very nature themed imo. Of course it must be hard trying to stick to the theme... but I’d do away with the minimal wave/dot stuff and try for some, idk, trees to match the mountains? Maybe moon and stars, or an owl/wolf? Just throwing out some ideas (:

Beautiful colour for the green; fantastic set! I definitely agree with the folks that think a little splash more colour like purple and/or blue text options for the enter/spacebar/esc keys would really bring it together! Following!

Hey everyone! After some feedback about missing colors to fulfill the Aurora theme, I've added an accent kit with matching colors. Done some color matching to see what would look good together with the Pantone 339 Green. Thanks to Bachoo and Snurrebassen for fast and great renders!

I feel like a deep navy similar to GMK Deep navy's color would have been a much better color choice than black.

Would have been too similar to GMK Hammerhead, that's deep navy alphas with similar green/teal legends

How about the deep green for mods in base kit, I think the base kit does not represent enough the aurora vide, still need some color-transitions?  :D Also, lighter color accents would be better imo, lighter purple for example would suit aurora more.

i do agree than in their current state the accents do not look interesting to me, with lighter colors they would be although to me the green look perfect, just that the purple and blue are not vivid enough to match it.

Awesome! I think gradient is the way to go for this set too, like the numrow legends being deep blue instead of green and the f-row being deep purple if gmk can do that! Also kudos for taking the feedback and making changes so fast!

Update

With help from snurrebassen and bachoo with rendering and help from Vitrual with the idea behind this kit, I represent a gradient mod kit. Featuring only GMK stock colors, colors that symbolize the Aurora theme better then the previous accent kit.

A mod kit with 5 colors, even stock, is still gonna be...105 USD or up? More?

I own DSA borealis and love it. Why not lean in, do a whole gradient base kit?

Love the updated mods kit! Any chance it could be a second base kit instead? I think both are strong choices and making a full base kit out of the alt mods would definitely hit MOQ

This is mainly a consept to show the gradient, an additional gradient base kit instead of the mod kit is for sure something that will be taken into considoration. Aware of the cost with the amount of colors in the kit, so need to figure something out!

I see a second ~` key and also a second |\ key in the base kit with the same color of those already in the main layout. I propose changing the color of those second keys to the accent color. It may create some new impression for the vibe. Also, a single-color mods with the color different than black-lightgreen, maybe a color of transition from black to light green would be good as well imo. Anyway, thanks for making good keyset, I bought your evil dolch, I will definitely buy this too  :thumb:

It would be better to have 2 of the same keys, if you want to mix different GMK kits like GMK bow alphas and GMK Aurora Polaris. Price would be a different story though.

Yes! There is a 2u shift, the colors seem to work better. But we are still working on it. With the number of colors used, the price will be fairly high. So still working on this!

Hi there, very cool set ya got there! I wanted to take a moment and offer a few feedback notes.

There are a few experimental changes some ortholinear users are throwing around to make base GMK kits a bit more ortho friendly (and ultimately cut back on the number of total keys).

  • Change R2 PgUp to R2 Out
  • Change R3 PgDn/PgUp to R3 Read or Data
  • Change R4 End/PgDn to R4 Read or Data

Currently, you have 14 navigation keys in the base kit. Providing a few "generic" options will allow you to cut back the total number of keys, creating a smaller, leaner base kit. Further, these changes support richer ortholinear coverage (Planck, Preonic) without sacrificing much. In fact, you can cut two keys!

I understand that these alterations to existing keys may prove controversial for many 65% users who depend on correctly labelled keycaps for navigation purposes. However, be the change you want to see. I think this is worth brining up in an IC, even if the answer is a resounding no.

Thanks for your time and consideration. GLWIC!

The special mods look great.  I wish they were just the base mods.  I feel like they fit the theme much better than just the two tone you have going in the base.

Looking at those Alice renders has me wishing the extra B was in the base kit but most people don't kit that way so no big deal there.

I agree completely. The kit mods look great, and make it more than another green/teal on gray/black set. (I don't want to say it's too similar to any one set, but there are a lot with a similar feel.)

It's times like this that I'm reminded of how great the KAT kitting system is compared to all the cherry profile manufacturers like GMK. It would be awesome if we could just buy the alphas and the mods separately. And the runner could do the novelties as both the green and the multi-colored as seperate kits without worrying too much about MOQ.
