Title: Spanish, Portuguese & Italian (South) keycaps (links updated:22/March/2024)
Post by: salgiza on Wed, 02 June 2021, 04:31:01
Hi all,

As there are not that many keycap sets that include our layouts, I thought I would create a thread to keep track of them. I was already bookmarking all the ones I found, and hopefully keeping track of them here will help more people (and let me discover keycaps that I had missed).

Denshi Electronic. This is an odd case, so I'm adding just a link to their shop instead to the individual keysets. It's a Spanish shop that seems to import and sell AliExpress keysets (most of the ones they have are also in the links above), but they also seem to have some ISO-ES sets that are not available anywhere else.

The ePBT Scandi (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=111609.0) Group Buy is live! (The link still points to the IC thread, I'll update it when the GB thread is approved).

It's a very nice set that includes tertiary labels (something that most other GBs/ICs) don't.

Do appreciate your work here mate!

With so little to choose from finally decided to move into ANSI with a touch of ISO (Enter and whatnot) but will take a look here from time to time.

Buen trabajo y suerte!

Thanks a lot! Hopefully making these sets easier to find we'll get more people joining the hobby (and thus making "South" kits more popular).

Thanks for compiling these lists and making the information easier to access. It's no easy to get nice sets with full compatibility, and hopefully they become more popular. Just got EPBT Scandi and I'm also waiting for the KAT Monochrome sets I got last year.

A new IC has jus appeared that looks incredibly cool: KAM Command (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=113780.0). It just has ES/IT/LA, but with his amount of kitting I'm sure that PT would be added if there is enough interest? I don't know, but always remember to fill in IC Forms to show interest in Keycaps that you would buy!

P.S. During the last weeks I've been also silently updating the list of in-stock (mostly AliExpress) keycaps. As an ES user myself, most of the ones are just for ES layouts + maybe IT or PT. Please, if you are an Italian or Portuguese user, let me know of any keycaps for your layout that you find, so that I can add them to the list!

Oooh! Do you have the source? If someone is also keeping track of these kits (even if only for es-ES), we could join forces!
If not, I will check all the links and update the main post, but it would be nice to at least give credit!

So little options for ISO-ES...

I like the pimpmykeyboard ones but almost $300 to cover all the needs in my small TKL layout...that's crazy!

I would like some black themed DSA, i'm starting to think that's impossible. I will have to choose between a blank kit or to struggle my brain on a change to ANSI.

Hiho,

Onto the move into ANSI, found a sweet spot in mixing ANSI with ISO enter. Add to that the usage of VIA / QMK to setup tildes, Ç and Ñ in secondary layers and whatnot to finetune couple more keys and you are able to use any base kit of any keycap set 99% of the time. Altough most of the time you have to solder for the ISO enter (Not something expensive nor difficult to learn given the amount of video tutorials) At least to me it was easy to adjust than an ergo/alice layout.

In any case, extremelly thankful for the amount of resources to try to have ISO-ES on our keyboards. Great Job guys! :thumb:

Hope this helped!

I must say that at some point the links to pimpmykeyboard were the first on the list, for no particular reason, and then I thought: mmm.. I've heard great things about these keysets, maybe I could buy one? And then I checked the prices... and moved them down on the list in order not to scare anyone new to the hobby  :D

There is DSA Milkshake coming out in September, if I'm not mistaken (about the date). But it is white themed, I'm afraid.

At first I thought about just doing that (ANSI with ISO enter) but I don't know why, having the symbol labels in the wrong places (even though I never look at the keyboard when I type) totally triggers some kind of OCD in me. I mean, I could have klingon labels in all keys and I wouldn't care. But having the "," in the wrong key... aarg.

Thankfully, I must say that, since I started this thread, things don't look so dire for ES (and PT/IT) users. There are no running GBs right now, but MOQs for everything non-GMK (which usually have the most boring designs, anyway) actually allow for designers to include support for our layouts, and the sales numbers for the latest GBs were actually pretty decent.

And once things get going after summer, it looks like there is going to be at least one or two GBs that support ES or South layouts every month... (I just added a couple more of ICs to the list).

I'm not losing hope yet!  :)

Keychron is adding a OEM PBT dye-sub keycap set in ISO-ES. For just $40 it seems a reasonable option if someone likes the retro-mac style. It's intended as a full set for keychron's K2 and new Q1, but perhaps it's a good option for a common TKL or smaller board.

Thanks for the tip, I've added it to the list! Being Keychron, hopefully it will be soon be sold by some of their distributors in the EU (I'll update the link if that happens).
But great news, anyway, because having a cheap starting point for people dipping their toes in the hobby is really nice!

(Glorious also had ES keycaps, but they haven't updated them for the GMMK Pro  :( )

If nothing else, you should make a honorable mention to KAT Lich (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=104129.0;all), which was the first GB to include a proper BRESLAPTIT (http://www.farah.cl/Keyboardery/Possible-International-Kits-for-Custom-Sets/#BRESLAPTIT) (a.k.a. "south") kit. I wonder if extras are still available.

Added! I didn’t know that the first GB with a South kit was just from last year! (It certainly means that things are getting better, hopefully!)

P.S. if that guide is yours: thanks a lot. I saw it months ago, but I didn’t save the link, and I wanted to find it again because it’s a great resource when asking for “South” support in ICs.

Oooh, nice! I’ve added that one and the one Biip designed for Drop as well (although the kitting of Biip’s one is bit strange). I saw in his discord that they were going to restock it next month, so hopefully Drop will also restock the one you linked soon.

I’ve also added a new section for keycap sets that don’t belong to any language in particular (and thus everyone who follows this thread might find useful), and a couple more ICs to the list.

Thanks, added to the list!
I've put all the AliExpress sets inside a "more" tag, though, because the list is growing (and there is a good chance that it will keep growing as soon as PT and IT only sets start to appear in it).

And as an additional note: GMMK confirmed a few days ago that they will release update keycap sets for the GMMK Pro with DE, UK & ES support (and hopefully PT/IT will follow). As soon as they are available I'll add a link.

I've also added a link to the DSA PetriKeys (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=114538.0) interest check. They are considering adding support for International layouts so, for any one that reads this, check the IC and, if you like it, fill in the IC form and add a comment asking (politely) for ES/IT/PT or South support!

On sad news, I've removed KAM Sewing Tin (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=112929.0) from the Interest Checks (IC) list. Not enough people voted on the interest form and they've finally decided not to support our layout.

I know that many of you already know this but, for those who don't: if you see a link in Interest Checks that you like, click on the Google form that you will always find in its main post, and fill it in, specifying (even it's in a comment) that you would like support for your particular layout (ES/IT/PT) or a South kit if possible. That's mostly what ICs are today: a way to check how many people would buy specific kits and add them or not to the keyset. No votes (or very few), and the kit won't be included. Enough votes, and any IC might add a South set.

In that line: any IC might actually add a South kit if enough people vote for it in the IC form (well, except maybe GMK sets as those have very high MOQs). If you see an IC that you like and its not in the IC list, don't hesitate to share it in this thread and ask for votes, as there might be more people interested in buying it that had not seen the IC!

While things have improved a lot in the last year, South kits are still a gamble (I've seen GBs where they've sold 30+ units, but other GBs where it's been as low as 2-3 units), and keyset creators will not support our layout if not enough people fill in the IC form, no matter how many times you ask for support in the IC thread.

And, as always, vote/ask for South layout supports in every IC that you see that seems interesting, be it linked here or not! Currently I'm only keeping track of ES/IT/PT keysets (when South is not supported), but South includes support for BR and LA as well, and together we are a lot of people. If we can get the ball rolling, we can even dream of buying GMK keysets some day! (one can only dream...)

  • KAM Command GB is going live today. I still link to the IC thread, I'll update the link to the GB thread once it's approved.
  • Preorders for DSA Milkshake and PBT Cherry Milkshake closed this weekend. These sets will be back as in-stock keysets once they have been manufactured (with a higher sales price), at the beginning of 2022 if everything goes well.

On sadder news, I've removed  GMK WOB NORDEUK++ R2 (PT Only) (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=107995.0) from the list of ICs, as the author has had problems reaching out to GMK, and has put the project on indefinite hold.

Ahh... life is a rollercoaster of emotions when you enter this hobby as a non-ANSI user...

This week I'm removing DCS Solarized Dark (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=114170.0) from the list of ICs. They have finally added an "ñ" for LATAM users, but there is no ES, PT or IT support in the final kitting (not enough demand in the IC form...)

Also, remember to check and share the KAM Command (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=113780.0) set currently in GB! Sales are currently quite low for such an original set, and numbers for the ES and IT layouts don't look good.. to say the least  :(

I've just added the new Glorious keysets to the list of in-stock keysets: GPBT Caribbean Ocean (https://www.caseking.de/en/Glorious-PC-Gaming-Race-GPBT-Keycaps-115-PBT-Tastenkappen-ISO-ES-Layout-Caribbean-Ocean-GATA-1527.html), GPBT Rain Forest (https://www.caseking.de/en/Glorious-PC-Gaming-Race-GPBT-Keycaps-115-PBT-Tastenkappen-ISO-ES-Layout-Rain-Forest-GATA-1528.html), GPBT Artic White (https://www.caseking.de/en/Glorious-PC-Gaming-Race-GPBT-Keycaps-115-PBT-Tastenkappen-ISO-ES-Layout-Arctic-White-GATA-1525.html), GPBT Black Ash (https://www.caseking.de/en/Glorious-PC-Gaming-Race-GPBT-Keycaps-115-PBT-Tastenkappen-ISO-ES-Layout-Black-Ash-GATA-1526.html). For now they are only available in ES layout, but Glorious has previously also released PT versions of their keysets, so I guess that those should appear soon (the ISO-ES versions just appeared out of nowhere last week).

Anyway, it's nice to have a bigger selection of cheap in-stock sets so that you can build a keyboard now and maybe buy nicer keycaps in the future!

P.S. I've also removed the link to SA Polyclear (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=114643.0) from Unusual keycap sets, as the GB ends today (if you are reading this, you might still be able to buy transparent keycaps, if that's your thing!)

:O The Botanical one is already linked in the main post, but I didn’t know that is was a clone of a GMK set!

Yeah, I’m also torn between looking for them and link them or, if that would be (understandably) not a nice thing to do in these forums…

I've managed to find Botanical and Mizu (I could send the link if you want), but not Olivia or Daifuku.

I don't think it's unethical to link clone keysets when the original ones don't have your language options. I would pay whatever to have an Olivia ISO ES, but GMK is never going to bother.

Mmm… I’ve compared the botanical set (the one that I had linked) and it even copies the novelties. It might be fine if they were just “inspired” by the original sets, or just had the same colours, but let’s remember that this is a forum where keycap designers meet and publish their sets, and we are not going to make any friends by linking to AlliExpress sets that are blatantly copying their designs  :(

Also, between the new Glorious GPBT sets and the new Keychron ones, we finally have several cheap (and nice looking) options to get into the hobby using ISO-ES keysets, which I’d rather recommend.

Regarding GMK, btw, the magic number is 100 (the minimum numbers of kits that have to be sold for a South kit to be manufactured). Looking at sales of current and past GBs (which support South or ES/IT/PT layouts), we are still far away from that, but I don’t think the number is unattainable! One of the reasons I created this post, in fact, was to make it easier for people to enter the hobby, so that maybe one that we can reach that number!

Yeah, it makes sense for them to have a minimum number of kits ordered in order to make a batch.

But when it comes to proven successful designs (like the ones we are discussing now), I often wonder why sites like mykeyboard.eu or eloquentclicks.com won't order something like 50 base kits + south kits and then keep the combination in stock until they sell out. It's hard to imagine they won't eventually sell 50 Olivia or Bonatnical reissues to south-layout users.

The more I read the latest posts, the more I am convinced that the best way to protect the wonderful work of keycap designers and make sets for south languages achievable is to promote our hobby as much as possible in the countries that have been mentioned (ES, PT and of course IT, my country).

I also appeal to keycap designers: promote ISO layout and support for south languages!
Create more renderings that show them and insert dedicated options in the IC forms, make it clear that you want to take these options seriously, and I'm sure the answer will not fail to arrive

The IC for GMK Universe ( https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=115039.0 ) has recently added a NorDeUK kit with a "Ñ". Could this be a hint for other language layouts to come?
Please fill the IC form and ask the creator for a south kit ^-^ !

Updates:

I've changed the GPBT links to point to eloquentclics instead of the German page I originally linked.
Biip has mentioned in Discord that the DROP + BIIP MT3 EXTENDED 2048 (https://drop.com/buy/drop-biip-mt3-extended-custom-keycap-set) international kit is going to be updated with extra keys (hopefully to include the missing ES, and I don't know if IT/PT keys), so that it matches the kit for PBT Cherry Milkshake (https://oblotzky.industries/products/pbt-cherry-milkshake). Also, PBT Notion (https://oblotzky.industries/products/pbt-notion) should include an international set when it's restocked in Q1 2022. All of these should be in-stock items (not GBs), so they will be extra options for those entering the hobby.

100% agree.

That's something I've wondered myself many times. That being said, 100 units is the MOQ, but I'm sure that if we got to something like 70-80 the distributor would probably buy the remaining kits and sell them as extras, even if it's as separate kits. The two most successful GBs this summer (KAT Space Dust (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=113012.0) and ePBT Scandi (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=113356.50)) sold 41-43 south kits. As I mentioned, we are not that far away, but we still have to get more people interested in this hobby...

On the other side of the coin, though, KAT Great Wave (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=113443) only sold 5 south kits, and the currently running GB KAT Command (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=114842) has only sold only 5 (ES+LA+IT) kits, so far... :(

IC form filled in!!! Although I think GMK south kits are still out of reach (I could see an extended Norde + ES, PT, IT, or a combination, though, as GMK Electric did with PT).

If you sent this web site to a well known youtuber as Nate Gentile, maybe people would start to know this site.
I discover this page just few weeks ago.

Hi Juan, have you found any shop that actually sells that set? (I've been searching for it and I can't find any). I'm not sure how Tai-Hao sets work, as EloquentClicks actually run some sort of GB to get the Dark Tunnels sets that they currently have in stock. Maybe they were produced in the past? Same thing happens with the Tai-Hao Miami set, that has an international set (https://shop.tai-hao.com/products/pbt-43-key-international-key-set) with ES support, but I haven't seen it sold anywhere. Warning: looking at that set might blind you.

P.S. I'll take the chance to remind everyone that the KAM Command GB will end in two days!

New IC for ePBT Fronter https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=115269.0 (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=115269.0). I've already answered the IC Form to ask if a South kit would be possible, or a larger interrnational kit, like the one BIIP used for the latest run of PBT Cherry Milkshake. Maybe if there's enough interest, we'll get the designer to modify the international kit, or add a South one

I've added ePBT Frontier (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=115269.0) to the list of ICs, let's see if we can get a south kit of this one!

P.S. I wasn't sure if this was worth posting a message here, but DSA Milkshake (https://oblotzky.industries/products/pbt-dsa-milkshake) and PBT Cherry Milkshake (https://oblotzky.industries/products/pbt-cherry-milkshake) are temporary open for extra preorders, in case someone missed them the first time. These sets will be in-stock items (that means that they will keep manufacturing new kits as they sell), but you can buy them for a lower price during the preorder period.

Good news, although only for ES users, today: the GB for ePBT Maras (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=115333.0) is live and supports both ES and LA layouts.
Not only that, tomorrow is also the launch day for the ePBT Avilo (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=113866.0) GB, which also supports the ES layout.

I'd rather prefer it if GBs started supporting the full South kit, though. So for all of those Portuguese and Italian users that might read this, remember to fill in the IC forms!!!! (And everyone, ES users included, please ask for a South kit!)

Updates:

* I've added links to all the newly available Keychron keysets (most of them just in ES layouts, if you know of any shop that sells them for IT or PT layouts let me know and I'll link them).
* I've also added links (under the Unusual group) for the new Lord of the Rings keysets. If you ever wanted to write in Elvish or Dwarvish, here is your keyset! :)

I'm torn about the Tai-Hao Dark Tunnel set and the /dev/tty set. The first one is out of stock (and I'm not sure when/if it will be restocked) and the second one has had the International kit removed from the list of available kits! I'm going to leave the links for a while just in case but, if they remain unavailable in a few months, I will remove the links (thankfully, the list has grown and we have quite a few options now).

Just found this ISO-ITA set on Amazon.de, just a knock-off but I took it (I guess I'll buy anything ISO-ITA) and in a month I can tell you how it is.

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B09D3JSWFX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Also, you can find all the keycaps from Keychron directly from them (ESP, ITA) and all their 3 sets are available at the moment: https://www.keychron.com/collections/iso-pbt-keycaps-for-q1-k2

PS: I really would like an MT3 italian set, any idea where I can find one? :)

Ha! Good catch about the Keychron IT keycaps available directly from them! I've updated the links. Just in case anyone wonders: I always try to add an EU vendor as the main link as, well, if you need an ES/IT/PT keyset you are probably in the EU and shipping costs/import taxes will be cheaper.

I'm not going to link to the Amazon set for the same reason I gave merrytypist (in fact, I originally had this set linked to the AliExpress seller before I discovered that it was a copy). This is a forum, among other people, for keyset designers, and I don't feel comfortable linking to knock-offs. That being said, I'm really curious about the quality of the keyset!

And regarding an MT3 set, /dev/tty (https://drop.com/buy/drop-matt3o-devtty-custom-keycap-set) was the only one with full IT & ES support that I knew of, but the International kit has been removed from the list. I have no idea whether they are going to restock it again, but the fact that it has been removed instead of marked as out of stock does not look good. I also read that Biip was going to update the international kit for Extended 2048 (https://drop.com/buy/drop-biip-mt3-extended-custom-keycap-set) (which has partial ES support right now), but I don't know if IT is in the plans.

I also want to try an MT3 set, so don't hesitate to vote/comment on the /dev/tty page and see if we can get it back... if not, we can always try to learn Elvish (https://drop.com/buy/drop-the-lord-of-the-rings-mt3-elvish-keycap-set) :D

I totally agree about the knock-off treatment but this is the case where there's no original alternative, which I would buy in an heartbeat if it was available but it was never produced... am I right?

But you could buy any other keyset from one of the (few, that’s true) designers or manufacturers that support our layouts, so that they see the interest and keep supporting us in the future! And I’m sure that the author of the Botanical keyset wouldn’t be amused if they found that I was promoting a copy of their design in the main post.

Don’t get me wrong, I totally understand that you bought it, I’m sure other IT users will appreciate the fact that you shared that link, and I’m really curious about reading your opinion when you receive it. But I wouldn’t  feel comfortable trying to convince designers to add a South kit (as I do when I see a keyset that I like) while at the same time I link to copies of their designs :(

Updates:

* The group buy for ePBT Maras (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=115333.0) has been cancelled. Number where not looking good and it's back to IC phase.
* Numbers for ePBT Avilo (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=115359.0) don't look promising either. I'm not sure that it will meet the MOQ, and there is only one sale of the international (Norde+ES) kit, which is certainly not going to help future GBs to support international or south kits :(
* On a more positive note, I confirmed on Biip's Discord that PBT Notion (https://oblotzky.industries/products/pbt-notion) will be back in stock at the beginning of next year, and it will include an international kit with the same keys as PBT Cherry Milkshake (https://oblotzky.industries/products/pbt-cherry-milkshake) (ES is supported, not sure about PT/IT). These sets should be in-stock keysets (that is, more units will be manufactured as they are sold, they are not a one-time thing), which is very nice.

about the PBT Notion and milkshake, isn't fully iso-es compatible, right? There is not 3rd legend.

Well, it is fully ISO-ES compatible (you won't have to use any keycap with a label out of place), but it is true that they don't include tertiary legends.

Some kits do this in order to reduce the number of keys and make it cheaper, some do it because tertiaries would look out of place (e.g. keysets where the main labels are centered on the keycap). In this case, there are ES specific keys for "* +" and "^`", for example, but the designer didn't include the "[", "]" labels, so I'm guessing that they did this for an aesthetical reason. Personally, I'm ok with that, but it is true that it would be better if we had more options that included tertiaries :(

Hi Guys,

I posted the IC for KAM Popelka (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=115441.0) a few weeks ago.
At the moment I've included Alpha kits for German Czech and Nordic and had requests for French.
I was wondering if you would be interested in Spanish, Portuguese & Italian kit(s)...
It would be good too know what your preferences would be - separate kits or (partially) combined for example.
Please also check the interest check form (https://forms.gle/jp3HG6BWjLRJhU179)
Thanks!

Nice set! I'll share the link in the main post (and also in Spanish discord), so that you can get feedback on how many people are interested in the set. From what I've seen in other KAM/KAT ICs that supported our layouts, I think that your best bet would be to go with a kit such as the Sirius kit in KAT Space Dust (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=113012) (minus the spacebar). At least, that combination seems to be the most popular one.

P.S. I would wait for a while before running the GB, at least until Keyreative gets their act together and delivers a few keysets without problems. There have been so many problems in the last ones, that right now some people will ignore the GB just because of the manufacturer.

Coo that's Super - thanks!
Concerning the GB date - yes, that was also my feeling...  :( KAM is the easiest for internationalisation, but Keyreative sadly has a bad rep at the moment. Let's hope when the next sets get delivered in the coming months that turns around a bit...

Adding a couple set:
MW Commute @ https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=115154.0 , whom includes Ñ on the base set. Paired with the international kit it makes an (Almost?) complete spanish ISO.
Group buy starts tomorrow until 14 january @ Mykeyboard.eu -> something to note: Milkyway has promised a delivery time under 5 months from the GB end date

- ePBT Witch @ https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=115419.0] , whoms also includes Ñ on the base set, plus the Nordeuk you can make another (Almost?) complete spanish ISO.
Group but lasts until december 24 @ Mykeyboard.eu

I'm not sure what to do with that. It is true that lately I've seen the Ñ in a few sets (e.g. GMK Mictlán), but is that really any good? I mean: it's nice, but is it really helpful? Would you consider buying a set just because it has that key?

Really asking, I've never understood the use of having that single key if most of the symbol keys don't match your layout, and if I add a new list to the main post, I'd like to be sure that it is really useful and we are not just being generous because they included a single key... (And really, South sets, that should be our target!!!)

Anyway: if you (or anyone else) answers to this message saying that having a list of keysets with (just) the "Ñ" key is useful to them, and its inclusion would be the difference between buying (or not) a keyset, I'll add a new list to the main post!

Yup, completely agree on your concerns and if we look at the bigger picture, having a south set should be our goal.

As much as would love that too, let's be realistic for a sec:
Checking the sold units of a lot of sets whom include Southern specific kits, International and the Ñ using dvorcol profile https://geekhack.org/index.php?action=profile;u=52009;area=showposts;start=0

We can see they are not exactly popular. KAT Space Dust is a good example: Sold 2000 kits, but country specific around 300 all combined (41 southern :(  )
Most ePBT sets with International kits, those barely hit 100 units, if 50.
And here we are speaking about manufacturers whom specificaly makes those sets, if we go with GMK ...Je.

Also, from personal experience, when trying to introduce someone to the hobby, the first thing they miss is the Ñ , the ? on R1 & R4 .: ,;  >< (unless he / she is a programmer or IT intensive related field, then they usually change to ANSI ffs xD) Therefore with an International kit (and sometimes on the Base Kit) with a Ñ , we can go a long way imho.

Having a GMK set with a Ñ is not a win on any book, but combined with some novelties can make a scuffed ISO build for a loved one (And if not liked, you can use mm to resell the build :). Anyway, to me it makes a difference but im just a retarded on the internet.

Fair enough. I've added both the GMK Lilac on Black (https://kbdfans.com/collections/all/products/gmk-lilac-on-black) and GMK Mictlán (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=115163.0) to a new list of Ñ sets in the main post!

And yeah! Regarding the numbers, South is always going to be a small % of the main sales. But ES/IT/PT/LA & BR users are a actually a much bigger market than Nordeuk, and Nordeuk kits are becoming increasingly common, so we can at least hope that, if the hobby keeps gaining adepts in these countries (and this thread tries to help with that*), we can make South at least as popular as Nordeuk!

* GMMK/Keychron and the Biip sets are some great in-stock sets for ES people being introduced to mechanical keyboards, for example, and I'd recommend those currently for new users.

I couldn't agree more than that! We have to fight for South languages and ISO support, always ask - each keyboard, each set of keycaps - that they are supported, let us hear!

Thanks! I've added both this link (ISO-ES) and a link to the ISO-IT version, which was also available.

In addition to that, I've added G20 Semiotic (https://pimpmykeyboard.com/g20-semiotic-keyset) (Alien) to the list of unusual keycaps. It is... quite particular, to say the least.

Thanks! @jackcalico already mentioned this link at the beginning of this thread, but I see that it has received a few updates since then. I'll try to go over all the links again and see if there are any that I missed (on sale, I intentionally ignored all the links for keycaps that were no longer available). I've also tried to contact the author through the spreadsheet, so that we can help each other, if they are interested!

Lol, out of habit I read "there's a discussion..." and I joined their discord server thinking that it was going to be there, totally ignoring the fact that you had mentioned FB. Nothing related to keyboard layouts going on their discord at the moment, but now I want to buy a Q5...

P.S. I've updated the link to Tay Hao Hygge so that it also links to EloquentClicks, as it seems that they are also going to stock the ES version soon.

Added to the list of "ñ" keysets, thanks!

Let's see if we get some more South keysets this year, though. Unfortunately Keyreative was the manufacturar that made it easier to add these kits (as the MOQ was linked to the total number of keys sold, regardless of the number of kits) but, until they get their act together and ship a few GBs without issues, I'm not sure anyone is going to do another GB with them :(

As far as ISO-ES is concerned, all the keys are there! Let's hope that Keyreative improves this year and that this GB is successful! Looking at the bright side of it, the low number of KAT/KAM GBs during the last few months should at least mean that the keycaps won't take so long to manufacture...

- let's hope they deliver some good results and the appetite for KAT/KAM returns- when making a set  with various alpha kits they are still unique...

Ok, the list of in-stock sets keeps growing and one of these days I'm going to have to reorganise it

There are a few new PimpMyKeyboard sets in the list, but I think that the most interesting ones are these two:
https://pimpmykeyboard.com/sa-p-standard-sets-sublimated/
https://pimpmykeyboard.com/dsa-foreign-alpha-kits-sublimated/

The first one (SA-P) has alphas and modifiers and lets you create a full set with your own color combination. The second one (DSA) is just alphas. But the idea is that, with any of them, you can buy any of the other PimpMyKeyboard sets that don't include international sets (in the corresponding profile), and just add the alphas from these sets in matching colours.

The PBT and DSA Milkshake sets (that are also awaiting stock and should be available before the end of the month), are also in the list, btw. Both Milkshake sets were available for sale last week, but Oblotzky has already sold all units of the international kit. I’ve also added links to the manufacturer (Novelkeys), as they still have stock of the Cherry set, and they will keep restocking the sets (although new units are not expected until Q3).

I got the DSA Milkshake set and I must say that it looks and feels amazing.

On different news, DSA PetriKeys didn’t get enough requests for a South kit, unfortunately, but it has the ñ key (in the base kit) and being DSA with no tertiaries I guess that you can make a Frankenstein layout quite close to the ES one, for those interested (I updated the link to point to the GB thread).

First of all, thanks a lot for this thread. It is incredibly useful!!!

Secondly, I would like to give my impressions on GBPT keycaps, as they are, as far as I know, the only ones that include all ES tertiary legends (apart from that well know BoW with WoB mods cherry keyset from AliExpress).

I have the Arctic White version and I must admit that it is a great keyset: crispy legends, thick keycaps and high quality manufacturing standards in general.

Lastly, I would like to share with all of you an idea. Why don't we, as southern forgotten enthusiasts, create an international keyset from scratch? I mean: Do you guys think that if we make a full ISO keyset for ITA, ES, PT..., we won't reach the MOQ?

Great idea and I think there is a good chance!

We could aim for Matt3o's new MTNU profile produced by GMK - we'd have a good chance as GMK is ISO friendly and Matt3o cares about international support.

I’ve actually wondered the same myself, but unfortunately I currently don’t have enough spare time to try to design a keyset. If anyone wants to give it a try, though, I’ll do my best to promote it.

Doing a new keyset for the MTNU profile would be quite cool, btw.

If we manage to get moulds for any double shot profile, though, that would be a huge success. There have been a few DSS or DSA keysets, for example, where the creator was willing to add a South kit, but the lack of moulds made it impossible.

I would like to present the CARBÓN VIBES Pre-IC keyset!

It's inspired by the most common mineral here in my region (charcoal, "carbón" in Spanish).

Feel free to give me your first impressions and feedback.

It is only ISO-ES layout. My thought is collect your ideas, find a collaborator and launch an IC if I see enough interest among the Spanish community.

The keyset will be Cherry profile PBT and dye sub, this in order to keep price as affordable as possible.

Please, treat this like a Pre-IC work  :thumb:

Looks fine for me, i like the color scheme. I have only a suggest, the tertiary cyan symbols looks "strange" at least in the PC monitor, I think that could be better approach if all are blank.

You ought to be a bit more specific that mention. Serika R2's "international" kit supports es-ES and pt-BR, not es-LA and pt-PT.

(I'm biting my tongue to not say anything of the lack of tertiary legends)

Good catch, although that was my mistake when reading the keyset description. I read Brazilian (new line) Portuguese, and I thought it supported both pt-PT and pt-BR layouts, when it really said "Brazilian Portuguese" (arg). For the sake of simplicity I'm using ES/PT/IT/BR/LA when referring to the different ISO layouts (instead of the full ISO code).

That being said: I decided to only mention es-ES, pt-PT, and it-IT in the title of the thread, because at the beginning I wasn't sure that I had also the time to keep track of LA and BR keysets. I'll see if I can dedicate some time to it this summer,  tag all the keysets in the list with LA/BR, specifying which ones support those layouts, and mention whether a set supports BR and LA from now on.

With, it must be said, serious kitting errors (even after taking into account the kitter's predilection for undue omission of tertiary legends and the AltGr keycap). In particular, R1 '" is nowhere to be seen and R1 [{ should be replaced with R3 ]}.

There are still a few sets in the list that don't mention the exact supported layouts because they don't detailed them in their descriptions and I haven't had the time to compare the keys included with the different ES/PT/IT/BR/LA layouts. One of this days I'll get to it, I promise!  :-[

Voted! And let's hope that we reach the MOQ. An ISO-ES GMK set would be quite something.

Seeing the keys in the set, I have a semi-related question for all ISO-ES users in this thread: is there anyone here that uses the ¬ symbol? (Tertiary symbol in the "6" key)
It's a symbol that I've never seen used, I don't even know what's its purpose (and I can't find any info in Google), and some manufacturers (e.g., Apple, Logitech in some keyboards) don't even include it any more.

It's just that I feel that it's something that probably should be removed from ISO-ES (& South) kits, but I'm curious as to if any of you use it/knows what is it for?

(And I'll leave the discussion about the ~ tertiary for another day...)

P.S. For IT/PT/LA/BR users: are there any other tertiary symbols that you think that are useless/reminders from the past?

@ylothar I find these things quite interesting, even if I'm not sure in this case IT sets should remove any of those characters or not.

Also, one thing that amazes and frustrates me equally, is how most keyboard layouts were created locally for each country, totally ignoring what other countries where doing. I mean: there's not a single key/symbol in the IT layout (except maybe for the one on top of the ù) that is not also available in the ES layout. And yet, symbols are located in different places, just because

Countries layout were designed by linguistic experts back in the days considering the occurrence of each symbol in standard language corpus... I'm italian and I have used for some years an ES layout for work: it make no sense and it's very confusing. I dream about a simple WoB GMK South set which would fix all our issues, once for all.

Hehehe, and I would be confused if I used an IT keyboard. I understand that the layouts were not designed at random; but if you look at things like {}, or #, for example, they are just in different places. I mean, I don't think that a common IT & ES layout would make sense, because, just as a single example, why would you waste space in an IT keyboard with an Ñ key when probably there is a symbol you use more frequently. But heck, they should have thought of future keyboard machine enthusiasts, and made it easier for us by sharing more keys!  :D

Also: it's quite funny that, in the layouts, you can see the arguments between different people that had different ideas. For the ES layout, whoever designed it thought that typing "´"+ a vocal to get áéíóú or `+ vocal for àèìòù, was easier than having a specific key for each symbol. Obviously, whoever designed the Italian layout disagreed!

Note that I'm not implying that we should unify layouts, or anything similar (I think they are currently too ingrained in our own specific cultures). But I do find the history of keyboard layouts very interesting, and I would love to find the source (who/when/why) of each one.

P.S. About the WoB GMK set: if there is interest in an IT version, you might want to ask the author of the twitter link that @ale210 shared. I don't know what would be the cost difference of doing a South kit vs an ES set, but if it's not prohibitive it hopefully should make it easier to achieve a higher MOQ, and I would surely vote for it.

Yep! Although, as mentioned, the ¬ symbol next to the 6 tends to be omitted nowadays. The knowledge of its use lost to the sands of time, or something like that  ;D

The ~ next to the four is not always present in keyboards, either, as you would get a ¢ in macOS instead. Added fact: I'm old enough to remember that, when I started using Unix/Linux, many years ago, the ~ symbol was not printed next to the 4 in any of the keyboards that I used at the university or at home (and that was something that I had to memorize). I don't know why it became popular to include it in Windows keyboards after that (Linux, the fact that many sites used the ~ in their urls in the early 00s?), but it seems to be losing its status again.

The use of the "~" symbol in URLs was caused by extensive use of the Apache web server and the UserDir directive (https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/mod_userdir.html).

In turn, this setting is a consequence of the fact that on Unix/Linux systems the symbol "~" indicates the user's home.

It's the logical negation sign, used heavily in certain programming language used mainly on mainframes. You'll find it in several national layouts, all derived from its usage in said context.

And no, if the national layout, as it's been codified has it, then it has to be printed on the keycap. We can later discuss whether the national layout itself needs to be updated (spoiler: it totally has to).

(And I'll leave the discussion about the ~ tertiary for another day...)

Be careful. Unix users might see that comment.

P.S. For IT/PT/LA/BR users: are there any other tertiary symbols that you think that are useless/reminders from the past?

NONE, by definition. Okay, I'll make an exception for the Cruzeiro sign on the Portuguese (Brazil) keyboard. ;D

There are two (main) layouts for the Spanish language. "Spanish (Spain)" is the one you pictured, which has some additions for supporting Catalan and Portuguese; "Spanish (Latin America)" is the other one, commonly seen in (surprise, surprise) Spanish-speaking countries in the American continent.

See https://www.farah.cl/Keyboardery/Interactive-Comparator-of-Different-National-Layouts/?left=esES&right=esLA for a direct comparison between both.

The Spanish (Spain) layout specification was updated in 1991 to add the ~ character (as a dead key, BTW) under AltGr-4. It took years for keyboard manufacturers to catch up, and for a certain Maliciously Stupid company to update its "KEYB ES" driver under MS-DOS.

As for Apple... well... everyone remember the Golden Rule of Apple and Keyboards.

Wow @depletedvespene, what an amazing source of information! Thank you!

I'm trying to put together some preliminary information to reconstruct the reasons why some characters / symbols - in the various languages - have been chosen, and in what position.

From what I can understand - after starting to put the puzzle pieces together, starting from https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?t=14577 (https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?t=14577) - the standardization of layouts is now governed by ISO / IEC 9995 (https://www.iso.org/committee/45382/x/catalogue/p/1/u/0/w/0/d/0 (https://www.iso.org/committee/45382/x/catalogue/p/1/u/0/w/0/d/0)), which should have had this evolution over time (if I have done the my "homework" correctly):

[attachimg=1]

Its latest update appears to be ISO / IEC 9995-12: 2020.

I then went to see the Participating Members of ISO / IEC JTC 1 / SC 35 and:

[attachimg=2]

I therefore believe that to trace the reasons for what has been done we must refer to:

Am I on the right track?

………

Am I on the right track?

Yes, but...

Do remember that the ISO/IEC 9995 codified into a standard what was then the "common practice" in keyboard hardware and most of that was standardized in the mid-80s by IBM, thanks to the sheer success of the Enhanced layout.

ISO9995 dictates a few things that national layouts must comply with, but doesn't define any particular national layout; most of those were codified and standardized by IBM itself — the "bigger ones" (Spanish, German, Italian, etc.) at some point during the XT keyboard period, slightly adjusted with the AT keyboard introduction and once more with the Enhanced layout, the "smaller ones" designed and implemented somewhat later on (Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, etc.), and the "special interest ones" being made by Microsoft well into the XXI century (Turkmen, Faroese, etc.).

TO BOOT, national layouts took heavily from preexisting standards for typewriters (codified or de facto), and even then there was competition. For example, TWO main layouts still exist for Spanish ("Spanish (Spain)" and "Spanish (Latin America)"), but in 1982, there were at least five different "Spanish" layouts just within IBM itself (and at least three more by other companies).

In most national layouts, some key assignments surely were inherited from typewriters, some surely were decided with a lot of thought and documentation, some surely were decided on a whim (braces and brackets flipped on the Spanish (Latin America) layout), some with neither (about a third of the modern Canadian layout), some are undoubtledly mistakes that no one cared to correct later on (flipping the | and ¦ characters in the English (UK) layout), and while some were designed with utter dedication by competent people, restricted on what they could do by the hardware and the software of the time, some were created by clueless dimwits that were not really under any significant restrictions (the Azeri (Standard) layout being the most prominent example of this).

I am afraid that for many "odd" or "weird" assignments, specially on the older layouts, we'll never truly know the reason.

And I’m incredibly happy to know the logic behind the symbol next to the 6 that I can’t type from my phone right now, and the ~ in the 4 key! (That also brought memories of memorising alt+126 back in the day, and now it all makes sense).

@depletedvespene, do you think that there is someone that knows more about keyboard layouts than you? Because I highly doubt it!  :)

I have never read - and therefore thought I would - ISO / IEC 9995 documentation: so are you telling me that I will surely not find the answer to my questions there?

I think you won't, but I'd be happy to be wrong. If nothing else, the avenue should be pursued, at least to know for certain that it IS a dead end.

[...] most of those were codified and standardized by IBM itself [...]

Do you know of any IBM sources that I can consult?

The best I have from (public-facing information published by) IBM is its old "globalization" site, which has copies of the national layouts' specifications as they were supported in the late '90s to early 2000s. See https://web.archive.org/web/20181103130511/http://www-01.ibm.com/software/globalization/topics/keyboards/registry_index.html — I took my sweet time to copy ALL those PDFs back when they were still available on their FTP site.

I also have a few older booklets with "keyboard charts" for MS-DOS; additionaly, some of IBM's mainframe manuals have keyboard charts. And that's about all that I've been able to dig up during those years.

Now, if I had access to some IBM insider that would happen to be a document archivist... one can only dream.

[...] In most national layouts, some key assignments surely were inherited from typewriters [...]

Here in Itay (precisely in Milan) there is "Typewriter Museum" (Museo della macchina da scrivere): it may be that by investigating there I can find some confirmation ...

[...] I am afraid that for many "odd" or "weird" assignments, specially on the older layouts, we'll never truly know the reason. [...]

So do you think that trying to contact UNI or UNE is just a waste of time? Or do you think there is hope of having some more information?

Again, "dead end" is better than "unexplored possibility".

Where it pertains to some national layouts (es-ES, es-LA, it-141 and it-142, etcetera), I truly want to know what the hell went on with some decisions.

@depletedvespene, do you think that there is someone that knows more about keyboard layouts than you? Because I highly doubt it!  :)

I'd be delighted to discover that there is someone who knows more in this regard than me. I have too many unanswered questions.

And then it's time to throw myself into reading ...

Apparently the FTP server is still active, I was able to download the PDFs.

I'm going to try asking for information at "Museo della macchina da scrivere" (https://www.museodellamacchinadascrivere.org/ (https://www.museodellamacchinadascrivere.org/)).
I have no idea what can come out of it but trying does not harm: in any case being easily reachable from where I live in the worst case scenario I will go there and if there are no problems I will take some pictures.

Lol! This year has been much more quieter than the 2021, and not just for South kits: at the end of last year you could see that GBs were having a harder time to reach the MOQ (and some even failed), while at the beginning of 2021 it seemed like reaching the MOQ was a given for most GBs. The fact that many people (myself included) are still waiting for one or more GBs from last year (or even 2020) probably does not help.

To be fair, I'm much more happy of the fact that there are many more in-stock options than there were a year ago. Heck, two years ago if you wanted to enter the hobby and use an ISO-ES keyboard (as was my case), AliExpress sets (and a single Glorious set) were basically the only available options...

Unfortunately, they're not including PT and/or ES support. For sure. It's very clear if you follow their Discord server. More than once I asked for the same for other sets, and the answer is always the same: there are not enough people buying South add-ons.

I've added this two to the list of "ñ" keycaps, don't know if the crazy layout will also be useful to IT/BR/PT users: MVKB Classic (https://mvkb.com/classic/) and CreateKeebs Stamp (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=118234.0).

Thanks to @1pctipaday for the tip!

P.S. Regarding the PBTfans Pyga set, yeah, from what I've read in Blip's discord as well, KBDfans seems to be totally against the idea of adding South kits for their double shot sets. Which totally sucks, because they have released some very nice sets. We'll see if they change their minds at some point :(

I'm one step for buying ISO-UK keycaps... the market for us it's frustrating.

It's curious, manufactures like Domikey, if you want iso-uk, you need the UK extra, wich has big enter, but the 1,25U shift is not included, you have to buy the "mod plus" for one ****ing key. However, include south support, "no way".

@salgiza
add to the thread this (awful) set:

Added a link to DSA Star Wars Galactic Empire (https://novelkeys.com/products/star-wars-galactic-empire-dsa-keycap-set) in the list of unusual keycaps.

It's not 100% random symbols, but the labels are weird enough that you really can use it as such (also: the empire had their own language but the mandalorians (https://novelkeys.com/products/gmk-boba-fett) use latin letters? Mmm....)

P.S. Thanks to @Arwer for the tip.

@Arwer sent me a message in Discord, mentioning that they still have units of the KAT CyberSpace (https://kono.store/products/kat-cyberspace) South kit in the Kono store. As it's been a while since the GB ended, I guess that they ordered lots of extras, so I've added a link to it in the list, at least until they run out of stock

I've also added a couple of comments to the GPBT/Keychron and Blip sets, as they might be out of stock in the linked stores, but the first can be found in many other webshops, and the Blip sets should get stock back at some point (at least in the Novelkeys webshop).

Added links to the following new keychron sets (now also available in PT, in addition to IT & ES!)

Keychron PBT Retro (TKL, 60% & 100%) (https://www.keychron.com/collections/iso-ansi-pbt-keycaps-for-q3-q4-q6-k8/products/iso-ansi-q3-q4-q6-k8-oem-dye-sub-pbt-keycap-set-retro) (ES/IT/PT)
Keychron PBT Carbon (TKL, 60% & 100%) (https://www.keychron.com/collections/iso-ansi-pbt-keycaps-for-q3-q4-q6-k8/products/iso-ansi-q3-q4-q6-k8-oem-dye-sub-pbt-keycap-set-carbon?variant=40026356482137) (ES/IT/PT)
Keychron PBT Blue (TKL, 60% & 100%) (https://www.keychron.com/collections/iso-ansi-pbt-keycaps-for-q3-q4-q6-k8/products/iso-ansi-q3-q4-q6-k8-oem-dye-sub-pbt-keycap-set-blue) (ES/IT/PT)
Keychron PBT Iceberg (TKL, 60% & 100%) (https://www.keychron.com/collections/iso-ansi-pbt-keycaps-for-q3-q4-q6-k8/products/iso-ansi-q3-q4-q6-k8-oem-dye-sub-pbt-keycap-set-iceberg) (ES/IT/PT)

Note: I've added the formats that they support to the description, as Keychron really adjusts the keys available, and these sets would be missing the right shift for 75% keyboards, for example.

Thanks. I would really appreciate receiving some comments from you all in the IC Form, in order to know better what the community thinks about it. We are the "black sheep" of the keyboard community, and we gotta prove them wrong. That is the only way to receive more attention from other designers, and hopefully the Spanish layout will be more frequent within international kits. Anyways, thanks for the kind words, I am glad you like it.

For IT users, I just noticed that Coffeekeys has a few Keychron sets (https://coffeekeys.eu/en/products/keychron-keycaps-iso-it?variant=42280440135938) available in ISO-IT, as well as the Tai-Hao Pine Green (https://coffeekeys.eu/en/products/pine-green-keyset-iso-it) keyset.

I have to update the list with these links, but I have to check how I do it to keep it simple for these sets that have multiple vendors (and remove some EloquentClicks links, as they seem to have stopped selling the Keychron sets), so I thought that I would already post a message with these links, in case they are useful!

I actually thought about adding it to the list when I saw it in MVKB's Discord... until it hit me that most of the top row (numbers) is going to have wrong labels as well :(

Hopefully, if it's successful, they'll consider adding international kits in an R2, we'll see...

I actually thought about adding it to the list when I saw it in MVKB's Discord... until it hit me that most of the top row (numbers) is going to have wrong labels as well :(

Damn I missed that detal

I’ll update the list on Monday, but the miracle (at least for ES and FR users) has happened: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=119535.0

I hope that, if sales of this GB work, IT and PT come next.

I've added to new ISO-ES sets to the list: Traitors Zashiki Warashi (https://www.eloquentclicks.com/product/traitors-zashiki-warashi-keycap-set/) (ES) and Traitors Yuki Onna (https://www.eloquentclicks.com/product/traitors-yuki-onna-keycap-set/) (ES)

Also, seeing that EloquentClicks don't seem to be expecting stock anymore, I've linked the GPBT keysets to other websites (but, as mentioned in the comment just before the links, search for them on Google and choose the web that has the best price).

@lordudun regarding the other sets that you mention: Milkshake and Notion are out of stock but, at least in theory, a restock should be coming at some point in time. I'm leaving the links for now, but if more months pass by with no news about it, I'll move them to the list of keysets with no stock left (where the other two that you mentioned were already located!).

There is going to be a restock of MT3 /dev/tty (https://drop.com/buy/drop-matt3o-devtty-custom-keycap-set), including the international kit with ES/IT/LA support (the kitting might be different from the one currently shown in the link, I haven’t checked).

I’ll add it back to the list as soon as it’s available (it might still take a while), but I thought that I should mention it in case anyone wants to start saving for it  :p

The people at Keyreative seem to be trying really hard to restore their reputation (and I think they are doing a great job at that btw, at least if you follow their discord), and this is one of several keysets from Biip that should arrive next year, most of them probably with at least ISO-ES support.

Hehe, I hadn't had time to update the thread yet, but the GMK Black Snail (https://eloquentclicks.com/collections/gmk-keycaps/products/gmk-cyl-black-snail) announcement has been a nice surprise! (Although this might affect the GB for GMK Clásico).

Sadly, some people have asked in EC's discord for the possibility of a full South kit, but it seems that we are not there yet (I hope that at some point we can manage to make South kits as popular as North kits, and the demand has certainly grown a lot since I started this thread!).

That being said, for those that use IT/PT/LA & BR layouts, ePBT Creative Studio (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=111651.0) is about to be released as an in-stock sale, with a South kit included. So get your wallets ready.

Krome has backlit keycaps for ES, PT & IT layouts: https://www.kromekeycaps.com/en-es/collections/spanish-keycaps (I'm linking to the Spanish ones, but you can navigate to the Italian and Portuguese sets from the top menu). I don't have any feedback from this manufacturer so, if you buy from them, post photos!

There is also this one from AliExpress (in ISO-ES only): https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005003309060137.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2esp but, as you can imagine from the price, the quality is pretty bad.

Kinda expected I guess, was looking for an ISO-ES set with something more than just plain colours. Was thinking to get a regular set and then adding the ISO-ES modifiers or conversions (whatever they are called) but that feels kinda annoying, also expensive. Anyway thanks for the info.

Arg, you are totally right, I just fixed it.

And true, in-stock items (hopefully) should not be a problem, but ordering from MK is a bit of a risk (FWIW: I bought the set on Friday, and I just received the tracking number for the order).

GBs are definitely involved: I personally have 4 GBs waiting (GMK Earth Tones, GMK Tiramisu, GMK Manta, GMK Peach Blossom). I tried several times to get an answer via email - tickets assigned - but without any success. They just don't answer.
I think it's a very bad sign, at this moment I can only advise you to be very careful.

Due to the situation I find myself in, I obviously don't place in-stock orders on MyKeyboard.eu but from what I read daily on the Discord server it seems that in-stock orders are managed - but not all of them, and not all of them with the same speed.

Forgive my warning about MyKeyboard - it was not my intention to go o.t. in this thread - but given the situation I tought it was right to point out the problem.

No need to apologise, I should have warned about it myself when I shared the link, in fact. Many of us in the hobby know about MK's situation, but someone who doesn't and sees my message could receive a nasty surprise if they decide to spend a lot of money on these keycaps (discounted or not) and doesn't receive them  :(

Hi guys,

I'm new into the mechanical keyboards and I'm from Portugal, so I'm also struggling to get a portuguese keycap kit for Portugal instead of Brazil, they are different.
So I was searching Aliexpress and I've found some shops, as usual. I've contact some and got a response from this shop that it seems that it is interested in creating the international kit from KromeKeyCaps.

Here is a print of the full message history with the shop on aliexpress:
[attach=1]

in case that you want to go and also request, maybe the shop would really create it, here is the link of the shop:
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/1102314780?spm=a2g0o.detail.0.0.270c6549QxuFAt

Don't know about the quality of the keys, but it is better than nothing.

I've just updated the list of AliExpress links (there seem to be a lot of sets with ES/BR/FR support right now), and added a link to this list of Spanish AliExpress sets (most of them also support FR & BR, and some also IT or PT): https://www.aliexpress.com/p/wishlist/shareReflux.html?groupId=xT3nTsu8r42Ax7qvyixXjCQ6%2BUhse63Zx3cZ%2FmLmuBg%3D

The list was shared to me via Discord, but I don't know who to give credit to. If you created it and read this, say hi here! (and thanks!)

P.S. In-stock sale of ePBT Creative Studio (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=111651.0) (IT/ES/PT/FR/BE) seems to be coming very soon!
