Hello keyboard geeks, I'm Aziz from CLAP LAB. I have never imagined that one day I will be able to design my own keyboard and post on GH! Today I want to show you my 65% gasket mounted keyboard. As a 65 lover I got inspirations from keyboards such as: Rama m65, Iron165, Noah, Space65 and many others! Okay, enough of me talking, I want to show you some renders (please excuse my rendering skills

)

Sep 1 Update:
I want to thank all of you for your time to write the feedbacks, they are so valuable to me! I made some changes according to them.
So here is the new version with the renders, hope it is better than the first version.

Sep 3 Update:

Technical Info:
1. 7 Degree angle
2. Gasket Mount
3. 6061 Aluminium anodized
4. PCB-QMK supported Hotswap and Solder
5. USB Type C

What has been done:
~~The prototypes are coming soon~~ As you all have suggested, the prototypes are postponed for the final deisgn
~~The PCB has been designed and tested, prototypes coming soon~~ The pcb is not expensive comparing to CNC a case so the new PCB is under designing.

What needs to be done:
Test the assembly
Test the PCB

a few things to note with the plate (from the renders you've showed)
- spacebar stabilizer should be flipped
- consider alternative layouts (split backspace, iso, stepped caps)

some other misc stuff:
- consider adding a small space for your daughterboard cable to reduce strain
- there seems to be no fillet/chamfer on the blocker, might be pretty sharp. (correct me if I'm wrong)
- as others have said, that front edge is really tall, I'm worried it might not be comfortable to type on
- in the future, I'd reccomend getting more community feedback and revising before ordering prototypes as a new designer

Also voicing the front height looks extremely tall and uncomfortable. I’d say the front height of just the bottom piece seems more comfortable ergonomically.

Also maybe a WKL design? Just personal preference though

As others have said. I think you are going a little bit fast with the prototype, I'd consider waiting for more feedback before you order prototypes.

The tabs on the weight look very small. Larger tabs would make for a more enjoyable assembly process.

I like the revamped back design, but on the inside of the case, the writing "A 65% by Clap Studio" is in a bit of a weird font. Personally I would go for something a little less comic sans esque.
