No difference for me in typing with R5 compared to R4. Also i typed on R5 before. I got BSP Desko set for example and it has R5.
Tho R5 is very comfortable if you use bottom row without moving your hand. Say you can better activate bottom row keys while you stay on the homing row.

I will install the new Carbon set on my 75% keyboard this weekend. The R0 keys look already gorgeous.

R0 and R5 at its best. It is godlike on keyboards with steep angle like Duck Octagon with its 11 degree.

Those who ordered Carbon Cadet kit, might have been notified by MD about the delay. At this point you should not worry. As you probably know, i got GMK Carbon R2 samples earlier and i discovered an issue with one key in Cadet kit. That specific key gets a replacement and afaik the replacement were already shipped to MD. So there is a slight delay. I personally don't know if it will cause delays for other people, who did not ordered Carbon Cadet. So please don't quote me on that. Tho it seems like some people got their shipping notifications.

Got my set yesterday, pretty pleased.  I'm really glad that R0/R5 were used, I like them quite a bit.  Only thing I regret is only buying the base set, really should have picked up some novelties since this is definitely going to be my main set for a while.

Still waiting on my shipping confirmation - but I ordered cadet so it is to be expected. I am happy with my kit choices but I know I'm going to be kicking myself when I see the bone/umka combinations.

IMO you should not change the cable. Your build is great as it is. I love it. Anyway i appreciate you like the end result and thanks for the kind words. ;)

Cross-posting -- but here's Carbon R2 Bone and Boneyard Alphas -- looks amazing.  Photos appear a bit darker than how it looks IRL due to the en face lighting -- I think the second photo from the side shows the color much more accurately. Cheers!
