27 switches is $38. Shipping on 27 switches cannot be more than $20!

You may be going to the wrong place for switches

I was just trying to see if anyone has any unwanted switches...

I meant for your prices.  38 for 27 switches is pretty damn crazy.

Were should I buy them? At WASD keyboards, they're $38. If you know any better websites, please give me a link to them! I'm looking for MX blues.

If anyone needs a spare TKL set for anything, I have a stock set from a QFR.  Pay for shipping and they're yours, although shipping from Canada might not be worth it.  I don't know.

Octagon - 62g Cherry tactile greys
Phantom - 65g Cherry tactile greys
FC660M - Cherry blues
KC60 - Gateron browns

Could anyone hook me up with a lubed linear gateron or two?

Looking for some floss to floss mod a pair of Fs, at least my AT.  Don't feel like paying that much for some floss I am only going to use for a keyboard or two.

I'm sure we've got some extra floss but I have a feeling it's all going to be mint flavor.

I have that stuff.  Looking for that fluffy stuff like the Oral B SuperFloss type stuff.  Nowhere in my area sells anything like that.  I have checked all the department stores like WalMart, Target, and all the drug stores.

It is all the plain waxed stuff that I actually use for its intended purpose, but I don't feel like ordering floss online.

Does anyone want some black alps switches from a Dell AT101?  I am using the board as practice for de-soldering and will be done with it in a couple days if anyone wants them to play with.  Let me know how many you want.  Cost of shipping and they are yours.   :thumb:

I will also be giving away the plate/pcb and case if anyone wants that as well (same as above - shipping and they are yours) once I finish pulling the switches.

would anyone be interested in a sharkoon fireglider (laser mouse)?
quite comfortable mouse, in my opinion :)
served me fine for gaming as well, though i wouldn't recommend it if you do any serious gaming.
it shows some marks of use, like scratches.

what's wrong with it? well, the scroll-wheel is messed up:
mwheelup is often registered as mwheeldown, and vice versa.
mouse3 often activates mwheelup or mwheeldown.
maybe it's fixable by opening it up, but i wouldn't know..
as is, the mousewheel is best to be left alone entirely.

so, i doubt many people would want a mouse with a broken mousewheel, but i figured i might as well ask.. :D

That's still extremely nice of you to offer up since i don't think it'd be a hard fix, just open it up and clean the sensor and such. I had this problem with my Roccat Kone+ which was pretty annoying since it was like a $80 mouse (or something like that)

I would certainly be interested as I am currently borrowing a friends mouse for work atm.  If someone legitimately needs this mouse more than me, I won't be selfish.

Does anyone have an IBM Model M Spacesaver I can have?  I will pay for shipping...

Oh the jokes...  Unless of course someone actually wants to give me one.

I've got a Unicomp one you can have for shipping.  It was all of $25 for me, plus a couple of bucks for stabilizers.  I just used it for dying experiments, so it's two shades of red with a black case.

Shipping probably kills it though.
From your description I was expecting this thing to be a bit of a junker. Dude, this thing is awesome. The caps are great. Ya they are not perfect, but who cares. They are so much fun. I love the color combo, it looks awesome.

Definitely having fun with it. Have to do a bit if remapping of keys for things to work well on my Mac, but I will play with that later tonight.

Thanks again nubs, you are a ****ing awesome. :)

Ok, all done.  I have 103 black alps switches (one switch was bad which is how I got the board for free in the first place).  I partially pulled a couple pads on the pcb when bending the pins back of the switches so that I could pull the pcb from the plate/switches.  I am pretty sure it was fine, but went ahead and tossed it anyways along with the yellowed case and plate.

Sooo... If anyone gets this week's Humble Bundle and doesn't want the Thief code, maybe they're be willing to send it my way?  ;D I've already got the games in the bundle that are actually worth paying for, but even with Thief's massively bad ratings I still feel compelled to try it. It can't really be as bad as they say... Right?

Any idea what the shipping for just the caps would be like? I live in Michigan.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

Does anyone want some black alps switches from a Dell AT101?  I am using the board as practice for de-soldering and will be done with it in a couple days if anyone wants them to play with.  Let me know how many you want.  Cost of shipping and they are yours.   :thumb:

I will also be giving away the plate/pcb and case if anyone wants that as well (same as above - shipping and they are yours) once I finish pulling the switches.
I just picked up a board with black alps and ansii caps for $2. Should be fun for playing with. :)
Where do you find this stuff seriously
Salvation Army or other thrift shops.   There is a a huge thrift shop next to my office, so I check it out a couple times a week.

I found this there last week but didn't buy it. I could pick it up for someone on here if anyone wants it.

Well, swill got a Model M (not SSK) because he's been doing stuff for the community.  Most other people would have been ignored.

I'm just kidding :) swill totally deserves that ssk (and I don't deserve a F77 board). That was a really awesome thing to do btw.

Anybody want a copy of Garry's Mod? I've never laughed so hard while playing a video game. Steam name: Emuuu

What exactly is Garry's Mod? I've always been interested in it but never really looked. Do you just make **** in it?

I don't want it either. I'd much rather someone else take it.

You basically goof around with assets from Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, etc. Some people run servers for playing custom game types, but my favorite way to play is building junk in multiplayer. Put down a large platform, attach balloons, see how long you can balance on it. That type of thing. It's chaos.

Play with friends. I have yet to play Gmod without people in a Skype call. I'd imagine it would be quite boring alone.
As for what to do, build stuff in the normal multiplayer and play TTT and prophunt in the server based multiplayer.
