A note regarding Oxbloods
Because of my hardheadedness and my need to put out a light tactile I'm proud of,
I've decided to postpone their production so that I can work to create something truly custom and try to
recreate the feel of vintage browns with some tweaks. These are still on the way, but may pop up again
with some reworks on the name and design.

Who's the target audience? I would guess those who spring swap their inks are also going to lube them, so they're going to have to crack them open anyway. Maybe it's best for those who don't want to lube, but want a better spring?

I guess it comes down to pricing and the colorway. They look great, that's for sure

I don’t really see the point of these unless you can get the price well below the typical market price of inks + tx springs. Maybe if these were well factory-lubed they would be a good stock switch, but most people open their switches anyways to lube them and it’s easy to spring swap them then.

Hey dale, something like Gat pros would be a perfect candidate for this. You could still keep under 50c and have preinstalled Tx spring. Heck, I would buy that. But inks+TXspring is $1 a switch!!

I wouldn't give this a price until it has been revealed. It's in bad taste and people will run with it. Not saying price concerns aren't justified, but we can't make up a price and state it like fact.

I would just like to say that we haven't revealed the price yet, so don't get so hasty to assume!

That being said, inks were my choice based purely on sound, as they're heads and tails above anything else non-cherry imho. When going into this the idea was to make switches I like and would want to use, and that goal doesn't lend well to cutting corners.

these are just inks. people who are into linears will likely lube them which means they will have to open them up anyway. if you want a good stock experience, you're not buying inks. don't see who these are for. do everyone a favor and focus on oxbloods first.

If you've ever bought a recolored switch in your life this is just hypocrisy.

I disagree. Not having to buy any separate springs alone sounds convenient to me, being able to just open the switches to lube them (since these come with no factory lube - another big difference from regular inks) without having to spring swap would save me plenty of hassle. Also, these switches look too pretty and unique to be compared directly to inks.

i actually genuinely haven't, but even if I did, this would still be different. These will likely be more expensive than inks, so I don't quite see the point. if they arent, I still wont buy these cause I actually quite like ink springs lol.

definitely do understand the no factory lube part. didn't see that, that's actually quite insane. not a linear guy, but i get the appeal now. i still think it would be better if they cost the same as regular inks because that money saved would allow people to buy their own springs. even better, these could ship disassembled without springs to save people money and still give them that freedom. literally just take them out the mold and chuck them in bags.

You should read posts more carefully before coming with such heavy critique. I don't think any manufacturer would be willing to ship switches disassembled, think about the switch leaves.

If only this came factory lubed…. would have been the perfect switch. Nice stuff nevertheless!

I just checked the Discord server. He's color testing the switch apparently.
