[IC] Wave 88 TKL F13

Hello everyone, this is Oasis Industry.
I am 8

Welcome to enjoy our first kit: Wave 88%
277339-0
Source of inspiration:

I occasionally saw such a cold joke on the Internet:

-"How can you tell if the ocean is friendly or not?"

-"Because it WAVES!"

As the first keyboard, I think it must be friendly, so there is the name Wave. However, in a true desert oasis, there is no sea and no waves. There may be only lakes at most. It is calm and gentle, but in our oasis, we hope to have it, and we are no longer bound by it, just like the waves are free and positive.

Design

A large array of keyboards with too many decorations on the front can easily appear dissonant. Sometimes simple is the best to look at, but Wave is inseparable from the waves. Therefore, we use the wave logo front as the deformation of W, which is more wave-like. Another meaning "sea wave" is hidden in it.

We have also imagined expressing the theme in the form of patterns, but the huge backplane is not as direct as the text.

277344-2

On the side, we refer to the streamlined design of the Porsche 911, giving it more flexible curves and lines on the side.

Feel/sound:
First of all, the hand feel and sound are just one of the criteria for keyboard evaluation. If you like this keyboard from a certain angle, then it is a good keyboard in your mind.

1. In terms of structure, we chose the solution of non-steel PCB leaf spring gasket. The main feature of this kit is the extreme soft elastic of the non-steel gasket. The non-steel is equipped with 5mm poron and under-shaft pads. If you choose hot swap, POM/PC slotted positioning board will be delivered.

2. PCB aspect
277352-5

We did not choose most of the traditionally used horizontal groove solutions, because when this solution is adopted, the feel of the same row will become uneven, which is reflected in the fact that the middle of the horizontal groove is less supported and soft, and the two sides of the horizontal groove feel hard. , Will cause uneven feeling, so we opened a vertical slot on both sides on this basis. The reason for this is to unify the degree of soft elasticity and feel of each row. After all, the height of each row of each set of keycaps is different. the same. Secondly, we choose to use the separation of the letter area and the direction area to dilute the limitations of the hand feel and sound of the "big board", so this keyboard can be regarded as independent of the left and right sides, but one drawback of this is that it needs to be carried out in the bottom shell. Slot and route. When the flex cut and separation are satisfied at the same time, the position of the terminal can be selected very few. (The wiring is for reference only, the shipment will be hidden) (Due to PCB strength considerations, the separate design may be removed)

Other parameters:

1. Shell configuration: aluminum alloy, weight PVD mirror copper (all aluminum version to be determined)

Color: e-white, black, lake blue, wine, dark green

2. PCB options: 1.2mm solder (no steel), 1.2mm hotswap (with positioning plate)

WKL and WK PCB LEAF-SPRING MOUNT

3. Typing angle: 7.5 degrees

4. Price: Will be updated according to ic feedback and cost, no more than 400 US dollars

Quantity: 200-300

Below are some real shots of samples

From my understanding, this will be leaf-spring pcb-mount keyboard?

Ah. This is the same person that posted on zFrontier (https://www.zfrontier.com/app/flow/DYxJlBE930E0).

His name is really called "8" lol.

Anyways, can you show proper layout support for solderable and hotswap PCBs?

Also, show us the exploded structure of the keyboard.

Love the design, when will the GB start? Also do you have any communication channel? Maybe a discord server?
