Watched Brightburn - meeh.. maybe 5/10 I would score it.

The deaths were cool. But the movie overall was meh and a bit slow at times. But what was the kid's motivation? Seemed like he was killing for no reason.

GDI just got the 4K.. haven't watched.. proceeding to be be sad.. /frantically solves cube.

Agreed.
I believe the motivation was something that was time triggered by a thing (no spoilers :p).It did feel like it could have used a bit more fleshing out in places.

Brightburn looks very warm.. probably used alexa.. not sure if it's 4K di..

HDR pushes 1000nit, so the eye lasers look really good.

Some scenes using day to night luts look really fake, buh forgivable..

Overall, good prelude to what will probably be a Tv show. ??

Yeah, I think too it was triggered with time.

I watched it with my missus - at beginning she asked
"what are we watching? Is this superman?"
"No. Its called Brightburn".

After an hour:
" is this really not Superman?"
"No. He kills people."
"So, its like bad superman?"

I am shocked Preacher made it to 4 seasons. Love the show and am sad this is gonna be the final season since there's so much more to cover.

Also finishing up Stranger Things S3, I like it much more than S2 but not as much as S1.

Been pondering if it's worth buying on Amazon...
Answer one thing for me, does it do the DOOM COCK bit? If so, I'm buying it.
*The Preacher comics was one of few series that I've read many many times.

It's pretty faithful to the comics in terms of story beats, for the most part. I've read the comics but idk what you're talking about.

yall know I love me some Junji Ito, so I am jazzed for this. Never thought I'd see the like

I also watched Jumanji (2017) and it was actually much better than I'd expected. Although it didn't need to be a Jumanji movie at all, it had basically nothing to do with the previous film in any way. But it was a fun movie, nothing amazing or memorable, but very fun.

The first couple of seasons were really good. I hung in for about 4 or 5 but it was just the same thing piled higher and deeper.

OG Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I saw that pop up this past weekend on Netflix, and decided to give it a shot since it's so highly regarded.  Really enjoyed what I saw, but wasn't quite in the right mood at the time so I'll be coming back to it.

Oh dang, I had no idea one could catch that show on Netflix.  Nice.  Although I watched the series back in 05', I've forgotten most of it, so I decided to check it out again.

That's good to hear. Season 2 was entertaining enough to keep me in my seat through each episode but I thought season one was much better.

Not a fan of Max Headroom's lines regarding China and Chinese citizens (wtf was that about?).  The premise of the show must have been a mind bender for some during the 80s.. holy moly.  As for Neon Genesis Evangelion.. reached ep22.. can confirm that I'll finish the series and keep it at that.  More awkward (for me) than River's introduction scene in the Firefly.  Although, the Bandai Evangelion-01 Test Type Action Figure is pretty dang awesome regardless.

You need to watch the final film. I feel like the series didn't really end until End of Evangelion.

Also, yeah; the Bandai Tamashii Robot Spirits Eva 01 got me into Japanese figures hard. Thankfully I've since got out of that plastic-crack hobby.

The wife wanted to watch "Leaving Neverland"

I had no idea what a true freak Michael Jackson really was.

Still a controversy atm....  But, it seems implausible that the allegations are false given the evidence and testimony by so many AROUND the guy,  you got maid, bunch of victims,  defendants turn around years later..

There are so many people around this..

And for POLITICAL REASONS,  there are people attempting to trade truth for legacy..

That said,  Materially,  Mj qualifies as another Epstein. Rich guy r4p3 kiz.

I look forward to the time when people reserve judgement and opinion on various subjects until after they have seen/read/studied/experienced them in full.

Informed opinions are quite valuable, while uniformed speculation is often worse than worthless.
