For clarification:

Are these specifically being made to match the size and shape of original Cherry doubleshots?  Original Cherry doubleshots are shorter, for example, than standard Filco profile keys.  I have original "white on black" Cherry doubleshots on my Rosewill RK-9000 and it is my understanding that these are being made specifically to match that profile.  Also, if someone knows, where can I get a set of white text based RGB(Y) modifiers that match the original Cherry doubleshot profile keys?

Thanks in advance!

they are currently available through GB4.
please consider ordering there to get the price down a little
last time i checked they were at 4 USD

I actually had one on order from there. But I'm not so sure its the same one Hashbaz made. Anyways no big deal there.

In for one standard kit.
And I vote for Y YPB

I would like to say because it's black print YY could look fine, but lets be safe and go with YBP because we know it looks good

No, I don't think so.

Another shot of YBP.  Leans way more towards the red spectrum than the other yellows.

looks better then YY, thats what I know

Like i said because of the black print, a brighter yellow could be okay be I wouldn't try it, so I still think YBP looks great on the REBEL 1.2 RGBY set

I do think that the contrast for white text would be better on the YBP.  But I can't say it is as true an actual yellow as some of the others.

EDIT: Maybe the black text would be better on YY?

YCH looks the best to me in both samples.  It's closer to a real yellow, but not dull or undersaturated like YY or YCE.

not exactly they will have the DCS profile
but these are specifically made to fit the font etc. of original Cherry keys.
Look at the link in the op to see how will look like

It should also be a question of whose display is calibrated and whose isn't, IMO.  Same goes for those of you who may be using a wide gamut display with no color profile in your browser ;)

It looks extremely orange in the shot above, which is probably a bit more realistic.

looking at at the colour swatches via a picture isn't the greatest representation of the colour itself either.

Hashbaz has the colour ring and he thinks YBP is the way to go also

Just to be clear, the yellow would be a 1.25 modifier key to replace the windows key in the standard sets?

Did you see the current yellow that was used? It looks like a faded or washed out yellow. Not good, and all the others look like mustard imo.

BTW if the whole set is going to be a bit lighter (due to the black text) then to me it doesn't seem to make much sense to go with the darkest orange.

This seems to correspond well with the yellow swatches posted earlier in the thread.  YY being a bit too undersaturated/dull, with YCH being closer to a true yellow but a bit more saturated/vivid.

YCH could look okay, seems a but dull, but with the black txt it could okay. But like I said before I think YBP looks really rich, and everyone that had the REBEL RGB set love the colours that was chosen.

I think we were only talking about making the blue lighter.  Black on gold will look great.

I know the pictures don't show it, but YCH is actually dimmer than YY in person.  Strange but true.  YBP is the way to go guys.
